I've been to a friend's no limit game he holds at his house every few weeks. The format is 20-30 players, $40 buy in, $200 in chips, 1/2 blinds to start. So typically there might be 3 tables of 7-10...

I don't see what this hand has to do with position - the AA player didn't raise preflop. If you were in late position and called, you would have lost a ton of money.
