Re: My name is PokerBob and I am not a man

I remember when PokerBob was posting his "I am not a man" posts in Small Stakes.

You rock, Bob. I hope your year of adventure is going well.

Re: A weird odds situation - a case for drawing to big overcards

[ QUOTE ]
I talked to Justin A about it and he basically agrees. His calculations led him to believe that it maybe makes a 1 card difference. Maybe I am just a freak that is persuaded by lame...

Re: Overcards (AKo) - raise/bet for value?

I'd take the free card on the turn here. You pay as much to call a bet on the river and you may save a bet if SB bets and MP calls.

River check behind is fine b/c you'll get called by something...

Re: What\'s 5/10 like?

Party 5/10:
-- few tables so you're up against the same players all the time (good and bad)
-- pre-flop is raised >80% of the time
-- < 4 to the flop >80% (50% HU maybe?)
-- lots of HU play...

Re: 2-4 Turn decision?

Don't use handles in your posts. Use a converter -- much easier to read; they keep a running pot count for instance.

You're getting 8 to 1 on the call drawing to a 1-card str8 and tainted OCs--KJ,...

Re: Question: VPIP 10-15% and PFR 10-13%

It's going to depend on the raiser's position. A raise from EP is an easy fold for AQo. As the raiser's position moves later, typically, his range will widen. Question is how much? AQo is an easy...

Seriously, how do you beat a fish who plays tons of hands and hits 2 pair or runner runner while holding a big pair. It's almost impossible to make the guy fold specially when you can't...

Re: How do you fully recover from a losing month?

I can't play below 1/2. But I have found 2/4 a much better game than 1/2 at Party. Just slightly less utter insanity to reduce variance to acceptable levels in my experience.

Re: Look him up?

Re: An Incredibly Mundane Question About Cold-Calling

I think this is a bad cold-call. You need to be very sure that you will get a multi-way pot. If you are wrong too often, it will cost you.
