Re: AKo hand

I don't like your turn/river play at all. In almost every case in this party game, someones going to call you down with a pair type hand with the pot getting pretty big.

Re: TT versus unknown

I think your line is fine. It's not uncommon for BB to turn up a busted flush in this situation. Sometimes I might raise the turn though, depends on how well I know my opponent.

Re: 88 against a maniac and his LRR

LRR always throw me for a loop. However, when a maniac like your villian LRR, it usually isnt a monster. In most cases, its suited junk.

In your case, I would raise turn, hoping for a free...

Re: 3/6, Nut flush vs 3 bet

The only reasonable hand that beats you that UTG limps preflop would be KJ. He's obviously raising 99, JJ and KK if he's a TAG. QT is just as likely as KJ if those are his limping standards. I...

Re: Flop nuts vs 6 calling stations

Maybe he turned a set. Maybe he has an 8. Does he have J8? Possibly (it is party 2/4), but that's the only hand that beats hero at this point. There are too many other possible holdings that your...

Re: Flop nuts vs 6 calling stations

I would cap turn.

I would also bet/3bet river.

Re: What is going on here?

Only because my action is telling the field I have 7's full (or at least 2's full). His stats would tell me that he especially would realize this, but he either doesn't care (since he can beat me)...

Re: What is going on here?

I agree I think my turn play sucks. I have a bad habit of checking when I'm faced with a situation I wasn't expecting.

If MP2 really blew me off my hand with a hand like 88-99, then he's a guy...

What is going on here?

MP2 has very taggish stats, about 15/7 over 180 hands. MP1 just sat down but seems laggish. I felt so completly lost on this hand, especially river. I ended up folding, and so did MP1. Does MP2...

Re: Playing tricky against a terrible player

I also have the nut flush draw on the turn for additional outs against both players.

Playing tricky against a terrible player

MP3 is a really bad player, and likes to bluff alot. SB is decent, although his stats show hes pretty tight. I think he'd fold a weak 10 based on my actions.

Re: Wednesday Night Party Poker Fun!

I come here asking for honest advice on a hand, and get called an idiot by an apparent long-time poster. I was simply asking questions about my play, no need for the personal attacks.

Re: Wednesday Night Party Poker Fun!

... And if I don't hit my set, I can safely fold on the turn to continued agression. If checked too, a choice then must be made. Wow, nice try again.

Re: Wednesday Night Party Poker Fun!

Nice try, not going to bite. Thought this hand was interesting since UTG showed his AdKd for the missed diamond draw and the subsequent attempt at the bluff 3-bet on river. Can't believe all the...

Re: Wednesday Night Party Poker Fun!

Wow really? On this flop? When I have UTG betting into me, allowing me to raise and drive out overcards behind me? When I can possibly see a free river? For all I know UTG is on a flush draw, and...

Wednesday Night Party Poker Fun!

UTG in this hand just sat down, so no reads. My main question deals with the flop raise, turn cap and river raise. I wasn't sure if this is to hyper-agressive or just right especially against an...

How\'s my line?

About to enter the first break in the 20+2 15k guaranteed on Party. Villian in this hand is rather loose preflop, but hasn't show much agression after the flop. Is this a way ahead/way behind...

Sticky situation with aces

BB in this hand is a total donk of the 70/5 variety. I took a different line on the postflop play here, as this seemed like a classic way in front/way behind situation. Anyone throw in a raise on...

Standard?

Early in a 30+3 MTT. Villian seemed normal. I didn't want to build a big pot preflop with AQo on the button, so I figured calling was better than folding. Turn is an easy laydown, right?

Party...

This didn\'t feel right....

BB is a bonafide tag, stats 18/9/3.0. Turn seemed like a check was correct. I was planning on calling a bet on the river or betting a blank. What do you guys think?

Too weak or just right?

Villian in this hand is a 64/4, but he can play tricky postflop.
After this hand was over, I wasn't sure how I felt about the way I played it. Comments welcome.

Re: This isn\'t in the playbook, but it should be

Thanks for your analysis. I'm not sure if the guys criticizing my play earlier realized that I had a full house on the turn or not. I defintaly thought I was still ahead until MP3's 3-bet on the...

Re: This isn\'t in the playbook, but it should be

Actually, Button flipped 9s2h, MP2 flipped As9d and MP3 flipped KhKs. Why is check folding the turn the best course of action here? Why was this hand a disaster? You don't think a player plays a 9,...
