Re: Bubble Play with KK - and alternate play?

[ QUOTE ]
a lot of players will shrug and call an all-in on a draw with hands like A7 suited but a lot fewer do it post flop after they don't get their A or two spades.

What's everyone's opinion on just smoothcalling the raise and pushing all in on any flop that doesn't have an A?

[/ QUOTE ] Very bad, I think. If the flop doesn't have an Ace, then...

Re-raise usually means a big pair

Re: 99 in the SB - Stars $22 180 SnG, level 1....is this a donk play?

Well, the CO looks like a donk (that weird preflop raise which reopened the betting for UTG), so I don't think we have to run from our nines.

I would have led out strongly on the flop (250 - 275)...

Re: A Rebuy ? for Math Majors

jcm made points about the time remaining, but in the bigger rebuys that we're used to (like the 45k) if you're a winning player w/ 3000 chips to start, then you will be w/ 5000 and an...

Re: A Rebuy ? for Math Majors

Jcm,

I tend to agree with you, but some rebuy tables are sweeter than others. If there is a maniac at the table pushing every hand, I'm happy to keep rebuying, because I can accumulate...

Re: A Rebuy ? for Math Majors

[ QUOTE ]
Sorry if my post is not clear. I'm lookig for a formula that could be used to guide the investment. For example, a player like Ozzy87/BigSlick789 could rebuy 20x in the 10+1 for 200 and...

Re: A Rebuy ? for Math Majors

If you go all in for 3K 10 minutes into a rebuy, I bet you get two callers w/ decent hands. Your AK is no longer a favorite, but it was probably +EV to push it anyway.

Re: A Rebuy ? for Math Majors

This is probably heresy on these boards, but I think logically you maximize your ROI (assuming you are a winning player) by never rebuying when you go broke during a rebuy.

Let's say you've been...

Call an all-in on the turn w/ scary board?

Halfway through a 180 SnG on Stars. Average chips around 4000. 65 players remaining. I am about tenth in chips before this hand started.

Villian played one hand rather poorly, I thought. In...

Re: from chipleader to out in the stars 45k rebuy

[quoteI don't like raising to 50K and folding to a reraise at all. Once you raise to 50K, you have pot odds to call. Either push or limp. .

K7o is only a 59-41 dog to A2o and you have pot odds.
