Re: overplayed?
If the SB is TA, would he only 3-bet PF with QQ? Would anyone else do it with AQ?

Re: One Last Monitor Question - CRT Monitor
I've been looking around on the internet for a deal also. I stare at a computer all day here at home for other work besides poker. And I've been stuck with this 17" that came with my computer. So...

Can you only datamine party skins with PT?
I've been searching and reading. I just wanted to be sure there wasn't some other software out there that I'm missing out on.
Also I guess playerview is only available for party skins too?

Re: New to NL - hand selection?
I'd be interested in hearing other adjustments that anyone feels like a solid limit player needs to make to play NL or PL.
I'd been playing .10/.20 NL and it seemed like I could play a wider...

Re: AK hits rags
I like the flop raise. You have two big cards and you need to knock out all the drawing hands now before they are committed. You don't want someone to suckout a draw because you are hoping to...

Re: Question about Gaming Club sign-up bonus
I'm working on clearing it right now too. It's pretty soft up in the 1/2 limits at peak times.
It takes a couple hours to update your hands but you can look at your total by clicking Promotions &...

Re: Can anyone get away from this hand?
Yep. PF raise and let maniac reraise to the limper. I'd have lost this hand too. But I think about all the times I would have gotten that juicy pot and chalk this one up to that one time I don't.

Re: Fold AK?

Stop bluffing, bear. It won't work at these limits.

Re: Aces hand
I'd call him down. I'd do it because of my investment so far, to get a better read on him for future hands, and because check-raising the river to push someone off a draw or medium pair here is...

Re: I fish
[ QUOTE ]
very nice, had odds all the way through, a little under at the turn, 4 outs is 10.5:1, but thats alright... I just hope nobody had KJ for the nut, at which point you cant get upset at them...

Re: I fish
I'd personally do the same and let UTG or one of the other 4 players bet it for you to see where you are. KJ smooth-calling the turn for extra bets is a possibility here.
Looks good to me.

Re: Flopped nut straight.
Sorry Sorry Sorry. That'll teach me to be sarcastic in a serious discussion. And I didn't realize there was a flurry of posts going on already.
Seriously though: Yes I wholeheartedly agree it's...

Re: 27 outs
I was being sarcastic about the 27 outs.
And yes, if there's no PF aggression and I flop top pair, I'll come out strong and see where it leads.

Re: Flopped nut straight.
Bigger suited connectors are very playable, especially in loose games where over 5 people see the flop. But you must be capable of folding if you don't hit the flop with the nuts or like 27+ outs. ...

Re: fish alert - a new way to rant
Also realize that having at least 2 pair against a maniac is good insurance too. (as these examples show) I know I'll get some criticism for my plays but I welcome it if they explain.

Re: fish alert - a new way to rant
These are my favorite players also. But the profitability comes with a price and all the books in the world tell you that. I personally understand that I will take a beating from a maniac once in a...

That makes perfect sense. Thanks for explaining. Put simply, I'd probably pay that price to see his cards too. That information plus what you've brought up about his play thus far could make him a...

Re: QQ, K high flop, I 3-bet anyway
Sounds like you had the right plan in mind. Those Q's are going to play better with fewer people and if you think that you can knock out the Ax's and draws with the 3-bet then it's much simpler...

Re: AQo misses, but pot is large - correct fold?
My thought process in this hand holding would probably be something like, there's ~21SB in there now but it's be raised and reraised back through original bettor and I've got ~19% to his this...
