Re: Spewing out of the Blind?

Chief:

[ QUOTE ]
Also, I think in this case against this oppoenent a flop 3-bet would be likely if he had a decent draw so IMO it's more likely that you are behind and he's just calling down...

Spewing out of the Blind?

Very loose passive UTG (who actually plays mildly ok postflop) limps. Folded to the button, good TAG (who is a 20/10/2 with a slightly high WtSD% over 1700 hands) who raises. SB folds and I call...

Re: Big street decision

Sfer:

I lean toward a flat call on the turn and a call/raise on the river.

--If he has a made hand like a pocket pair or a nine, then will he not likely fold to a 3 bet? And you really would...

Re: Quick flop question

You know, I didn't like the thought of a raise at first...thinking that there aren't many hands that he is calling for 1sb but folding for 2sb (maybe 9 /images/graemlins/heart.gif,T...

Quick flop question

Button is okay, with a 7.5% pfr over a decent sample.
MP1 is loose passive
CO is unknown.

7 handed
I have 8 /images/graemlins/heart.gif8 /images/graemlins/club.gif in MP2. CO posts a blind.

Rare semibluff c/r

5/10 online. My oppoenent has taggy stats....seems reasonable, good so far, although perhaps a smidge tight postflop, but nothing gross. I don't recall any previous HU battles between us.

Folded...

Re: Cold call/smoothbet

Jason:

[ QUOTE ]
Harv72b was playing aggressive preflop and would likely 3-bet 99/AQ here. Given the shorthandedness, he's likely to 3-bet with 66 too. That leaves KQ/QJs/QTs.

Re: Hand Reading made the River Bet Easy

W. Deranged:

[ QUOTE ]
The basic point is this: which hand is villain more likely to play the way he did: QQ or TT? This line is quite consistent with the way a lot of players will play TT, but...

How is that flop bet a standard play? Hero whiffed about as bas as he could on the flop and is drawing to 4 outs at best with his BDFD and 3 A outs. Hero isn't even coming...

I considered all three options. Without the backdoor flush, this could very well be a fold. But I think I have too much hand to not continue here.

I am probably going against the grain here, but I would probably fold this flop, barring some kind of read on UTG+1 & sb. I just think you are behind almost all of the time, and when you...

Questionable Turn raise

CO is loose passive (40/5), calls too much postflop, but isn't completely moronic--in that he is capable of not going to showdown with little or nothing.

UTG has been loose aggressive preflop,...

Yikers. Don't we wanna make him at least sweat a little bit before he catches his A or K (or other pair)? We aren't wa/wb here, he's got 6 full outs if we're behind.

Re: Evolution of a card room

[ QUOTE ]
1-2 no limit killed hold'em

[/ QUOTE ]

Yes. I agree 1/2 and 2/5 no limit has almost certainly drawn away much of the 6/12 and 10/20 crowd at my card room.

Re: 66 heads-up on pretty innocent flop.

With only a 5% pfr, his range of hands might be narrow enough that a flop fold is in order. /images/graemlins/shocked.gif

With a bit of a wider range, I think you can entertain the check/call,...
