Re: Not knowing what I\'m doing wrong here (NC)

Often times there is adjustment period when changing your playing style as you are describing. Before you were probably a little more loose and lot more passive. Now you're trying to play a tighter...

Re: Do I peel a card?

You've got the odds to peel. Do it. If you don't hit an ace or improve one (or both) of your draws, you can fold the turn.

Re: KQ at 1/2: stop or stay the course?

If the flop action is supposed to go bet then raise, I would 3-bet. If someone bet before you (especially villain) then I call down. That ten may have counterfeited villain's K8 two-pair.

Re: Art\'s little hand of the week.

[ QUOTE ]
Loose fish love raising draws, overpairs, TPWK, midpair/draw, even big overs.

He's not passive, if thats what you're getting at.

Ok. I thought a "Fish" was generally...

Re: Art\'s little hand of the week.

The 3-bet would be good to try and get it HU against Button since UTG probably has the standard range of opening hands, so largely just overcards. My worry, however, is Button. You describe him as...

Re: getting pushed out on the river

You flopped a FH. If you were beat villain probably would have raised on the turn. Call the river.

Re: Bottom set on a draw heavy board

I would give you two thumbs up, but you won't see those. So you'll have to settle for a simple "ni han".

Re: Bad Raise with QQ?

Your raising/betting for value. QQ is a monster hand that will win a lot of the time. It's tougher in a multi-way hand, but it will still take down it's fair share. If all those other players want...

K8s from CO - FUBAR or not so bad?

Villain (PFR) is 35/18/2.7 over 375 hands. The others in the hand are all loose and extremely passive (typically 40-50 VPIP, only raising premium hands PF, and almost no postflop aggro). The two...

Re: QJs openlimps

Definitely should be open-raising QJs from MP2.

Without any other reads, I play it the same otherwise. Button could just be bluffing the river when you show some weakness, or he could have been...

I'm value betting that river all day long, and tomorrow.

It would be a shame to see it get checked through when no Kings turns up. You'll be winning this pot more often than not, so I think it...

Re: KK in late position

I don't think the converter works for Carribean Sun format. You have to type it out manually.

To the actual post, I'd cap the flop and then when raised on the turn, call down. The board double...

TT/99, possibly A/images/graemlins/diamond.gif K/images/graemlins/diamond.gif.

Re: Watching The Boondock Saints...

Overhyped? Hmm. Guess that's why I liked it so much. I had heard in passing one or two mention that it was a good movie, but no hype about it. I was at the store and saw it on sale for $7, so I...
