Re: What percentage of hands do you expect to win??

I agree that as a whole the percentage of hands you win will be less then the 10% of your fair share. Just for grins I ran a query on the last 87K hands I have sat in on. It was a simple query, not...

Re: datamining and pokertracker

I think the major advantage is that you don't have all the extra detail information clogging your main database. I have them separated and I am a part time player, but my played hands database is...

Re: PokerTracker advanced player notes export

That is a great start and very useful. I have found that last few hands the player raised with, the number of times they cold call to also be useful.

ID 10 T Pokertracker question

I am still learning all the wonderful things poker tracker can do and it has been a wonderful instructional tool. One thing I haven't been able to figure out yet is how to get the BB range graph...

Re: Ok I really need some help with table selection

This is where pokertracker comes in very handy. Taking notes and datamining and having player rankings. Pot size is not the only consideration. A $2/$4 table with a $40 average pot made up of TAGs...

Re: Best Comedy of the Last 30 years - Elite Eight

It is fun to read this posts and reviews and what people find funny. I wonder if their is a 'generation' gap amongst the choices. As an 'older' member of this fine group I was surprised at some of...

Nothing like a good suck out to make your day. Hopefully, this player has noted me as a monkey in his notes /images/graemlins/wink.gif

Re: Raised Pot, TPTK, BB Special

Which is why I was questionning whether the plays were correct. Pretty much textbook kind of SSHE but wanted to add in the reads.

The River

Thanks again all. OK I am 2 for 2 here.

SB Checks, Hero Checks

River is A /images/graemlins/diamond.gif

Great card for me. I have rivered a solid two pair. I expected SB to check, but now...

Re: Raised Pot, TPTK, BB Special

I still had outs, potentially the best hand, a back door nut flush draw and wanted to put pressure on gut shot draws or lower pairs.

Re: Raised Pot, TPTK, BB Special

Not that it matters much, but on this villain I have ~250 hands on. about 100 or so where I have been at the table with him.

The Turn

Thanks!

Continuing on, I did raise, and they all folded back to SB who re-raises. Now I definitely put him on a big pair as I call.

Sorry for the BB Special mistake. Anyway, Turn is K...

Raised Pot, TPTK, BB Special

I have been working hard on some SSHE concepts, particularly in this hand the concept of hand protection vs. waiting for the turn to raise, whether I can protect my hand, or raising for value.

Re: Very good table image

You are overthinking yourself and giving the average player too much credit. FWIW, I have you as a solid player, Some hands I might re-raise with other people I would throw away against you, but I...

Re: I need calming - waiting to move up

Set up your pokertracker to import observed hands for times you are not playing. It will log all of the observed hands without keeping all the detail and thus slowing your database down. If you...

Re: I need calming - waiting to move up

And I thought I was the only one not trying to move fast. Great advice all. I went through .5/1 and 1/2 fairly quickly and languished at 2/4 for months. The last couple of months have been going...

Re: Session Post 1 Hand 41

Still learning the basics of poker and I tend to play a little tighter in the MP positions. Back to SSHE for review on these.

Re: Session Post 1 Hand 41

Yeah looks like I still have lots to learn, because on the next hand I see the hero raise with KJo in MP2 and that is one I am normally willing to chuck. Thanks.

Session Post 1 Hand 41

I am a little curious on this hand. This would normally be a limping hand in a multi-way pot for me and definitely a raise first in. Do you have a read on the button and blinds that would indicate...
