Not really--it is so player dependent and even then things ain't clear, 'cause play at 50nl tables is so variable.

At this level some always read a reraise preflop as aa, kk, qq. Others...

Re: This is why I love AK OOP

Ya, I think you need to lead the turn. Tight players holding a big hand will generally let you know with a raise on the turn. Check-calling gives you no information here and its not like youre...

Dunno, FT players are tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight in my experience, too many bonus whores, but I havent played there in about 6 months.

Re: KK/AA typical problem for me

These are always tough judgement calls. You dont want to
let someone move you off an overpair when theyre just semi-bluffing with small bets or overplaying top pair, but you also dont want to...

As you stated raise more pre-flop.

Stick it on the turn. If he outflopped you, then so be it (there's only one reasonable hand you're behind). There's a lot of hands you're ahead of...

KK hand

Sorry dont have the hand history but the action is pretty simple. This hand was played on the $50 NL table on Bodog, where as many of you know, the play is uhhhh, pretty shaky alot of the time. I...

This looks fine. How on earth are you going to play it any differently with the other players so shortstacked and HeeHaw in there calling down to boot. It looks like there's a decent chance...

Well, it looks like obvs El Diablo's isnt bluffing here with CO all-in, looks like Strassa needs a pretty strong hand to call here which he probably doesn't have given his turn check. The surprising...

Re: Battle of the blinds, totally lost

If he's bluffing, why not continue to let him bluff? Its not likely that he has alot of outs against you if you are ahead, and if you're behind its gonna get a little ugly anyway.

Re: Folding a Really Pretty hand 5/10 6 Max

so against a tightie why not make a loose call on a connected flop to see what happens with a deep stack?

Re: \"Official\" Live at the Bike thread (11/18) (10/20 NL, VIP Night)

Max had a pretty tough decision there. He's basically coinflipping vs 2 pair and is obliterated vs a straight and maybe 2.5:1 dog vs a set. I also think set might make that raise.

What does "3+1" rake mean? Is that $1 drop and $3 rake? Is it a % with a max?

Re: \"Official\" Live at the Bike thread (11/18) (10/20 NL, VIP Night)

Regaring calling allin w/AQ, yes he had pot odds once he already called the $280 re-raise, but that only underscores
the fact that he shouldnt have put half his chips in there to begin with.
