Right to aim for 1st, or should I have been more conservative?

I can't decide if I'm happy with the following hand or not.
Maybe I should have pushed PF? The BB had been very lose - playing about 40% of hands - so I did think it possible he held a Q... but with...

[ QUOTE ]
There are so many hands that you don't really want to be playing against on this board. AJ, KQ, KT, QT, AK, AQ and Kx of clubs. He could also have just have ax of clubs for the gutshot...

Re: Hand for review... ($10 SNG)

[ QUOTE ]
When you bet the turn and get minraised again, why do you think pushing is a good idea?

[/ QUOTE ]

Yeah - I kinda thought this was a mistake afterwards.

To be brutally honest......

Was I right to call?

I think I'm happy with how I played this hand - I just walked into someone that was also slowplaying! But I'm wondering if other people think I was right to call the all-in. Would anyone have folded...

Re: was this way too tight? 3 handed in a 10 +1

On the bubble this is a definite fold for me.

You haven't given any read for UTG, but why take the risk?

Simply callig and hoping to catch the flop will leave you with less than the button....

But I find it severely detrimental to post general 'advice' saying this is a hand to fold PF.

Re: 1-Table Forum Health Checkup

I agree with everything in the above, apart from i don't see the problem in new players postings what their views are. That's the point of a forum. Fine if what we say is crap then flame away...but...

Re: Discounting Outs

[ QUOTE ]
IMO, I think the advice here is terrible. I don't think the advice you should have folded PF, but since you didn't you should call/push is sound advice. IMHO, it's atrocious.

How about a related question.

A third spade falls on the river, you bet big. Everyone else folds (It's an example, so assume whatever other facts you want to.)

Another player asks...

[ QUOTE ]
I always show if I'm BB and it's been folded to me (I haven't taken any action so I figure it's harmless to show random cards).

Just what does this achieve though?...

Showing cards. What\'s your opinion?

Thought I'd start a thread on this, as was just reading this previous post. (http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showflat.php?Cat=&Number=1472402&page=0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=14&fpart=1)

Re: Discounting Outs

Early in the game I just wouldn't have called this preflop.

But seeing as you did, the flop couldn't really have helped you out much more... so if you played the hand preflop, why not play it...

Re: Opinions of Paradise Poker\'s SNGs...

Excellent structure at Paradise - as a few of my other posts have said.

So far I've played 76 $5 games - ITM 55%, ROI 40%.
i know this is a small sample, but for other sites over the same period,...

I've played at Stars, UB, Party and Paradise.

I now play solely at Stars and Paradise. Stars is very good to build up greater skill at sng's as the competition is much tighter there. But without...
