PL25 hand - would you fold this low draw?

Fish is a fish ( /images/graemlins/grin.gif)who values hands as if playing hold em but has got lucky recently. Mike Tyson is very aggressive with marginal holdings. No reads on John Smith.

$25 PLO8 hand - was I too aggressive?

I had previously re-raised Villain twice (once preflop, once on the river) and he'd folded both times.

Seat 1: Cockle ($8.50 in chips)
Seat 2: divoter ($18.80 in chips)
Seat 3: The3rdMan...

Re: PLO8 cat and mouse

[ QUOTE ]
Both players F'd this one up. The low draw is going to lose long term raising a naked low draw on the flop like that, unless the villian is very weak. The villian's call of the raise on...

Re: To pot or not to pot (size of bet question)

I like the thinking with the check - I suppose my "never slowplay in O8" record was stuck in my head.

If anyone wants closure, I potted it both times and both times it was folded round.

Re: To pot or not to pot (size of bet question)

Hand 1 - what about the actual situation on the flop? Do you pot it, and hope someone comes along for the ride with a bare low / boat draw? Bet helf-pot as suggested above? Lower bet to build the...

To pot or not to pot (size of bet question)

Two hands where I feel I may not have maximised my profits from a good situation (though I won't tell you why yet!) - what would you have done?

LO8 vs PLO8

I've been accumulating experience in the low limit games on Party, but it seems like there is a lot more to be made in pot limit than in limit...so I'm looking to give that a go.

Could you good...

Playing naked nut low draws

I'm only currently playing limit O8 until I get enough hands under my belt to feel like I can go at pot limit with a decent understanding of the game.

So far, the biggest conundrum I've come up...

Marginal holdings

I'm still learning O8, only playing limit at the moment until I've played enough hands to feel really comfortable. This is my first post here, but I've lurked for a while now.

There are three...

Out of curiosity, you're scared of 3 (or 4) hands, but what are you really beating? Granted it's a somewhat low buy-in, but AT AJ KQ KJ? I can't think of a lot of hands that raise in mid...

Re: Hand that has been bugging me

This is why you shouldn't play PP SNGs - there is no other play here than re-raise all in. There's nothing wrong with it.

On tourneys with higher numbers of chips, you could raise to 600 with the...

Re: Good play?

Raise preflop hard - protect your hand. That way, if an Ace comes on a flop like that, you can be pretty sure you're not against 2 pair. Granted, it's annoying when everyone folds, but better that...

Re: HH Review Q 1

Raise preflop. A8 upwards is strong 5-handed, and I'd in fact raise with any Ace when nobody else has shown strength, like here.

Once you've made the preflop raise, a 1/2 pot CB will be a +EV bet...
