Re: Wierd Hand

I am folding the flop, SB has you pummeled.
I am not sure if I'd cap preflop against a timid players reraise.

Re: Missed river value bet

super easy bet. Villain could have AQ, 99, TT, AJ, AT

[/ QUOTE ]

yes, but AQ, AJ, and AT are not calling you, so your bet is worthless. AK is raising you and you have to call. I am...

could somebody, please, explain to me the point of the turn bet?

Re: Pusing The Turn

[ QUOTE ]
Yes I'm now thinking checking the turn is th best play. I'd probably showdown if a K or T falls on the river since I could see him betting with a baby pair. If he doesn't than I learn a...

I do the same and take a free showdown.

Re: Stealing the blinds with QQ

if you want to raise, raise the river because if he has a K he won't 3-bet you because he'll be scared of the flush. Plus, if he was bluffing or betting something like 99, you'll get the max out of...

Re: KK hand at 5-10

If pot was just a little bit smaller it would be an easy laydown.
Since the pot is big it's a tough laydown...but still a laydown.

Re: Live Game - Incorporating reads

bet. Button can easily get scared of the flush and just check behind. You can go for a c/r against an aggressive player.
I think it's an easy bet.

i call. i don't raise.

cannot decide between calling and raising. If you just call, you'll probably have to fold on the turn UI. I really would like a free card on the...

Re: JJ UTG+1 gets weak tight or good fold?

I'd bet the turn and fold to a c/r.
Take a free showdown.

Re: 67s on the button, 8 to the flop, i flop top pair

I am thinking about raising the turn here.
1. He might get scared of the paired board and fold a better 7.
2. You'll probably get a free showdown.
3. You bet the river if you improve and make more...

Re: Whats up small stakes

hero bets. I don't think it's even close. Why would you give lone spade a free shot to take the pot away from you?

Re: AK is SB

[ QUOTE ]
This whole hand is a good example of FPS.

[/ QUOTE ]
alright, why?
If I reraise the flop I loose all pps and maybe small aces. The way I played the hand I made them all call me down....

Re: AK is SB

[ QUOTE ]
Once you cold call on the flop, I think that everyone knows you have a big Ace.

[/ QUOTE ]

Not really, I did not 3-bet preflop. Players can only put me on a "decent" A.

AK is SB

The preflop raiser is loose but very passive. Button is slightly loose, but passive as well.

I figured everybody was drawing to either 2-3 outs or dead, so I thought it's ok to slowplay this flop....

Re: 88 SB, overpair

probably none heart 2,4,8 are your only safe cards. Not that many. C/R the flop is no good because you are forcing people to suck out on you. I'd just call the flop and try to c/r the turn on a safe...

Re: Another hand with Padawon\'s Master

I really feel like folding preflop. If you flop an A or J, you are going to be stuck between to raisers for the rest of the hand.

Re: 88 SB, overpair

[ QUOTE ]
I think the flop play is fine. It's unlikely we'll fold out any overcard hands or marginal draws with a bet, and thus waiting for the turn, where our equity may change dramatically, is...

Re: 88 SB, overpair

I like betting the turn here and folding to a raise from BB.
Check/folding to BBs bet on the turn is bad IMHO. He could be betting 5s, 3s, 7s, A4s, and things like that.

Re: 10/20 AA

I don't like the turn c/r. You are giving a free shot for a small spade to draw on you.
