Re: The Calibre Of Ace-King...? (Suited or Unsuited)

[ QUOTE ]
In tournament play, against an all-in bet say, is it always right to call with A-K (suited or not) if you know your NOT up against wired kings or aces?

[/ QUOTE ]

I would not...

Re: First time ever called a donkey - Could it be true?

[ QUOTE ]
This is where everyone went nuts. The button started calling me a donkey

[/ QUOTE ]

Re: all in or stop and go?

[ QUOTE ]
I think just in general the overall strength of your hand against his hand range is enough that you want all his money in the pot. But I'm not sure.

In my mind, the stop...

Ok yeah, i wasn't 100% sure what you meant, I couldn't find what you were quoting exactly. I'm not sure what you mean by ratios tho.

Re: AK UTG (super Tuesday)

[ QUOTE ]
If you're saying hero should fold, that's awful, and awful weak tight. Especially because we have no reads on villian. This is an easy call without thinking twice.

Wait wait don't...

Re: AK UTG (super Tuesday)

[ QUOTE ]
The best play here would be to just call.

[/ QUOTE ]

Not on the stated ratios.

Re: What to do with JJ?

Given the stack sizes and description, I fold.

Moving in preflop doesn't appeal to me, and odds are not there to call and flop a set. Likely to be beat. Unlikely to make much money if ahead.

Re: AK UTG (super Tuesday)

Getting about 3-2 pot odds, I normally call here. Probably also some chance of running into a hand like AQs. I would probably fold against a tight player that respects my raises.

Re: Stars $109...Trouble with AQ, again.

[ QUOTE ]
He stated that he often limps with AQ UTG, because it allows weaker aces to come along and play, where raising just pushes them out. So i mix it up and call.

I would...

Hero ???

Given the stack sizes and the dynamics, just fold and move on.

Re: Open pushing in later stages

[ QUOTE ]
So the question for debate is, when should you open-push all-in in the later stages of an MTT?

[/ QUOTE ]

When the ratios are right. Say when a normal raise would be around 40% of...

Re: all in or stop and go?

There's no way on earth I am using the stop and go in this spot, considering the wide range he could have. Give me a lower pp like 66 or a hand like A9 before I think stop and go.

Re: AA - faced with an all in on turn

[ QUOTE ]
I would rebuy, and wait for my next opportunity to go heads up with a guy who would call 7*BB with T9o.

He had already put in 3BB's, and faced a call of a further 4BBs....

Re: Difficult hand - all diamond flop, turned a set against the chiple

If he could be such a donk, the turn raise sucked unless we are prepared to shove the rest in. And I think that's a bad idea given how many hands can have us beat. We are almost giving the donk the...

Depends on the dynamics, but generally I think I'd push if there was an ante, and fold if there wasn't.

Re: K8o + blind steal => ???

I would just call his small turn bet. Works out best if he has range of a 5, K, J, or nothing. This will keep pot smaller and give us the options on the river. It is also congruent with my play when...
