Re: How do I adjust to tourneys and sngs?

In an MTT, I usually play slightly looser when the blinds are smaller, as I am going to want to accumulate a few chips early on so I can be more patient when blinds are increased.

In a sitngo, I...

Re: PLO8 Noob Question

I don't play PL, but by all accounts I am throwing the entire pot out here. You have so many outs it isn't even funny. Flush draw, gutshot hitting another 6, nut low draw, bet the pot!

Re: Limit O8 Players-What Is Your Hourly Rate?

Quite frankly, it depends.

I play limit 1/2, and will rarely have a losing session. With that being said, I would figure that I make about 4-5BB/100 hands or so. When I...

Re: New to O/8 6max; comments and questions

Disagree. You can loosen up hand requirements, I play almost any suited A (with another card to the wheel) and have had absolutely fantastic success, moreso than full ring games.

You will win...

Russ G. is lying cheating scum.

LMFAO!

I will only play anything 10 and above for high cards, but you gotta have the A. With a 9 that takes it out of the equation if...

I only draw to "almost" nuts when I am drawing both ways and have a solid chance at least to catch one end of the pot both ways.

Do you have a quick example? ...

Re: drawing, but not the nuts...

Fold.

You have 4 outs out of 45 cards, so yeah, 11:1. However, your pot odds are not 7:1, since the pot will likely be split, with 22:45 cards making a low (you don't have one).
So your pot...

Re: drawing, but not the nuts...

Really depends on the situation. Need more info for any type of comment.

Mainly, size of pot, amount $ relative to pot to draw, and whether or not you would be closing the betting.

Re: Playing pairs preflop

I only like to raise with a high pair in late position. If you can "buy" the button with a pair of aces, you would obviously be in the drivers seat.

But yeah, like hold'em, you are trying to get...

Re: In omaha tournies...

Early, when still at a 10 seated table, I will only normally play suited aces with any 3 to the wheel. Of course, I will also play all high cards if I have a suited ace and will play AA at least for...

WOW - my first 2-3 rounds in a pokerroom SnG - I'm playing like maybe 15%-20% in 0/8.

Multying up in O8, more than 2 tables at once, is very risky IMO, since you do see more flops than holdem.

Re: a \"monster\" hand

I agree with the other 2 previous posts. I get away from this hand ASAP. You are only drawing for the low most likely, and the 3 bet reeks of an A2 hand as well. Your ace isn't suited which...

Re: Leaking finding

Hate to nitpick, but dude had 5 outs, the 2 kings left and the 3 10s. Other than that, you played the hand well.

Re: I cant win on Party Poker

I'm fairly new to this site, but I have played O8 for the past 6 months.

First thing I must say, is that unlike hold'em, you guys are paying too much attention to the stats. O8 is a 4 card hand...

Re: I cant win on Party Poker

Play 6 handed at Party. These are the juicy games on the net IMO. I am winning huge playing 6 handed as it allows me to play more hands and I am also very comfortable playing post-flop in any...
