Re: Session Studies Review Group: Second time around

Hello again,

No problem on the mispelling. Just make sure I never review your HH. lol

OK, another stupid one. I have been using poker tracker for quite a while now but when I import someone...

Re: Session Studies Review Group: Second time around

Hey everyone.

Stupid question. I did not do this the last time and I was wondering what everyone found to be the easiest way to review the hands. Did you just read them in the raw text file and...

Re: Protecting a flush draw against a large field

Grunch,

Any two suited with this many opponents is fine IMO. Not much of a chance of a raise behind you and if your flush hits it will pay big.

You don't need to protect flush draw from a...

Re: TPNK - How do you play this river?

Grunch,

You hate to give the flush draws a free card, but I think this is a classic WA/WB situation. Check/Call, Check/Call, Bet.

I wouldn't think that you are ahead to a raise by a loose...

77 in BB, I raised the turn with no set, good use of iso?, value bet?

My aggression is a little low, so I am trying to find the 'proper' places to apply it. Hows this look.

Sat down one orbit ago, so no real reads other than the table is 40%+ VPIP and no aggression...

Re: A9s steal in SB, anything I should I do different?

Yeah, I would say that somewhere around 50% of the hands that were low boards like this had at least one donk (in this case me), that showed down with ace high, I actually saw an 8 high win on a...

A9s steal in SB, anything I should I do different?

Very loose table, this hand was very unusual with no callers. Looked like a perfect steal opportunity, except for one thing, usually these guys won't fold. When the flop is low, they notice it and...

Re: AK hits TPTK and I get lost, HELP!

Very good point, I think I did realize that when I was playing the hand, but missed it when I was writing it up. To be honest, I may have been a little blinded by the raise and missed it, but I...

Re: Eegahs - g0ot ?

(grunch)

I don't know about the pfr. I have actually been doing that in early/middle position, but only at semi loose tables where my raise might fold a few out. I am curious to see what the...

AK hits TPTK and I get lost, HELP!

OK one more and I will quit posting for the night. Had a great run tonight and ran into a few of those hands that really got me lost. This was one of them. Usually I get lost when my AK misses?

KK in SB, lots of aggression, huge pot, do I call

CO plays way to many hands, calls down with K high, doesn't ever raise. PT has him at 66/7/.9 over 60 hands. MP2 is an unknown, just sat down in the last 10 hands.

The button and I have gone at...

Re: TT gets capped.

OK, i wont be posting for awhile here. This should go up on the post of the day, just to show what a dumb ass i am. I will make excuses and say that I am at work and was in a hurry. Sorry, I will...

Re: TT gets capped.

Are you calling this all the way down. If you only call the flop, it most likely with cost you two more BB. With the raise, you can see where it gets you a free card or possibly a free showdown...

Re: TT gets capped.

I don't like the raise here. After the turn check, I wouldn't have any idea where I was at. They could still have the AK, but could also have hit the Q, or have JJ or be weak tight with KK (worried...

Re: TT gets capped.

Someone already pointed out that I was wrong on the folding to a cr, which would be the wrong thing to do and it has cleared some things up for me.

If they call a turn bet, and donkbet the river,...

Re: TT gets capped.

Very good point. As I said, this is one of my main problem areas and you really shed some light on things here. In my old calling station days, I would have called that down, but I am still...

Re: TT gets capped.

Grunch

I would say that card helps you more times than it would hurt you, giving you the top end of a OESD. Your flop raise slowed him down, I would put him on AK, KQ, KJs maybe a scared JJ. I...

Re: An examination of session hands

Looks like someone already looked at the hands you posted but I wanted to chime in on your question about AA,KK,AK. You are playing above my blind level, so maybe this type of deception is a little...

Re: 99 vs overcards and 3 callers - Im a little lost

With two overcards and this many players, i was ready to fold to a bet in this situation.

I don't think that I am getting a free showdown enough here because of my position to bet the turn, and...

Re: KQs BB def vs SB TAA

Grunching

I raise the flop, call three bet and reevaluate. Raising this flop could change a lot. And then probably call down. On a steal you could be *edit - i meant ahead* behind many things...

Re: Flopped low 2-pair, pf raiser bets

Grunching

I would probably fold this preflop. A few months ago I would have called this too, but I am quickly learning that unless the table is very loose and very passive, you will get raised...

Re: A reinvention of the microposter: Session Studies

I am in.

Would this be a week to week thing where you would send you history in each week before you were sent a history. I am asking because I travel for my job about 30%-40% and wouldn't have...
