Extreme slowplaying (little poker content)

Couldn't put this in Bison's converter as the hand history is on my other computer.

Just thought this was funny. Slowplaying in its extreme.

I am in the big blind with 44

UTG and UTG1 limp,...

Re: RIVER??

OK but I still prefer my line on the flop /images/graemlins/wink.gif

This is a very interesting hand. Preflop hasn't been discussed. I think that your call is marginal with one coldcaller. The...

Re: was I too passive here with two pair?

Well you don't have two pair on the turn when you make your decision to fold. You have second pair/top kicker against a player who 3-betted preflop.

I think you have the odds to peel one off on...

Re: RIVER??

Like others have said 3-bet the river. You only lose to JT and th play of the LAG is more in line withh a big A holding.

By the way; What is your reason for betting the flop? With a drawing hand...

Re: Running cold in LL

A $ 1000 drop = 167 big bets is a considerable loss for a 70 hours (approx. 1700 hands B&M?) But the way you describe your playing style and the way you got beat in big pots (the straight bad beats)...

Re: Not a tough hand, but just felt confused...

The raise preflop with AT off after two limpers is read dependant for me. Are the limpers loose? Are the persons to your left tight?

The turn is difficult. All possible kind of threats and redraws...

Re: A move I\'ve seen a lot lately

The first raise with a gutshot and an overcard I guess is to try to fold out the two other players. A fold from another A would increase your winning chances in case the turn brings one. Could also...

Re: betting the river

I can't understand why you didn't raise that river. The preflop raiser is very unlikely to have 77 (well he actually had 88)

I don't know about the flop raise. You may want to fold SBs and BBs...

Re: QQ when 2 A flop

I think he needs to raise the flop to find out about SB and BB (they are more dangerous than the flop bettor IMO). If any of them coldcalls his raise he's in trouble.

Re: QQ when 2 A flop

I would have raised his flop bet and slowed down (maybe even folded) if 3-bet. The "normal" play from somebody holding trip Aces here would be to checkraise either the flop or the turn.

Re: set of kings capped on turn/river

Is villain capable of 3-beeting preflop with AQ. Most players aren't but maybe you had some additional reads to his stats.

His flop smooth call and turn/river aggression points in the direction of...

Re: set in massive pot

I wouldn't raise 77 from the big blind against 6 limpers but it is a question of playing style and implied odds if you hit.

The rest looks fine.

Re: 93s from BB (my first post)

Why did you bet that flop with bottom pair against ooponents who are prepared to call you all the way?

Even if opponents are loose/bad you can chose better spots/hands to play them with.

Flop...

Re: Scared like a nit with AA (Low content)

Pocket 8s could be out there but I can't put either UTG or UTG+2 on that holding being very likely. Not many raise 8s utg OR cap with them as UTG+2 after a raise and a reraise. The one with the...

Re: Scared like a nit with AA (Low content)

Against a preflop raiser and a preflop capper who continue their aggreession postflop I would be extremely suprised if any of them had the straight on the river (rmarotti).

I would have played it...

Re: I hate when this happens

Everyone seems to agree that you got the max out of it and that your play was the only one correct. I dunno.

You "know" that when you bet the flop, BB, who is on your left side will raise facing...

Re: KK as overpair - fold it?

I agree with Toss, there aren't many holdings you beat on the river.

I don't think that you will be capped on the flop by either AK, AQ or AJ by a TAG. Possibly by AJ if he is aggressive...

Re: QQ

Raise the flop. He expects you to do that with a variety of preflop-raising holdings and a raise from you doesn't tell him that you have a set of Ks or Qs.

If he then still bets into you on the...

Re: Ace rag

I would have folded preflop and folded to the flop raise.

Opponents may both be terrible but A rag is nothing I limp with preflop. Possibly you could raise but that is all depending on your read...

Re: Top set on 3-flush board, too aggro?

Well either he hit a flush ot he didn't. He could also have played a lower set this strongly. Actually his flop 3-bet points more in the direction of a set than a flushdraw (BB and UTG+1 have folded...
