Re: To the Producers of the WPT
They can't keep you totally updated on stack sizes, blinds/antes, and bets for every hand because then the general public would realize how much actual card playing is cut out. Hell, I'd wouldn't be...

Re: Heading for No Mans Land
I'd usually 3-bet the flop because I am less thinking and more aggressive and then I'd lead til resisted. I might check raise the turn if I've been running well specifically at this table assuming a...

Re: Heading for No Mans Land

Random thought: Why is everyone talking about Stars? His hand description says Pokerroom.

That had crossed my mind as well.

Re: Proper way to protect your hand

How big a raise was it pre-flop?
[/ QUOTE ]
I'm 99.9% certain this is a limit hold'em question.
[ QUOTE ]
You should be concerned if everyone called. More likely your hand is...

Re: Is this really bad? 5/10 6max
Isn't the value open raising hands like A2s, 89s, JTo somewhat contingent on the fold equity that you get? Well, sometimes you're going to run into a hand (in better position no less)... I would...

Re: 77 meets flop aggression (20-40)
Given your long description, I bet/fold. He probably has an Ace, maybe a big one and he is committed to showdown come hell or highwater. Since you have only shown down one high quality hand (top...

I find this almost always happens when checking behind on the river
You raise on the button with your A6o, sb folds, bb calls.
flop could be K32, 995, 872, it goes
check, bet, call
check, bet, call
check check and you take it down vs a busted draw (flush,...

Re: Sanity check
I agree. I bet here everytime barring reads.
One, you might be best. Not really that big a stretch.
Two, the button might fold, that's a huge win going to the turn.
Three, Shania. My TPTK,...

Re: I know my flop call is bad, but how bad
[ QUOTE ]
No preflop comments please, i'm fine with the call, regardless of common opinion. I'm curious about the thoughts on the flop. I flopped a double gutter. I called the first bet and when...

Re: A9s 3-bet preflop
I think I'd cap the flop. If he bets the turn then I'll call down, if he checks the turn I'll bet/call check raise and river if necessary.
On the flop you've got TPTK and a backdoor nut flush...

Re: Too passive in this spot?
Well, there are lots of other possibilities, but the specific important ones:
Hero is behind, bets and is checkraised. Hero calls down and loses 2 more BB. Hero calls down splits, hits miracle. ...

Re: TT in SB - decisions on every street
I'm torn between bet/fold and check/call. I think I would be swayed by my mood... if I'm running [censored] I'll bet, fold and be shown the bluff, if I'm running well I'll check call and be shown...

Re: Weird, normal hand
Wasn't it you who said you were going to tighten up for your first few or more orbits once you sat at a new table instead of mixing it up in marginal spots right away?
Isn't 3-betting a relative...

I expect him to bet again on the turn, diamond or not, and I can raise a non diamond quite safely AND get a call most of the time. If you raise the flop he also has more equity to cap with two cards...

Re: Meh.
Eh, with the turn agression I think calling the 3-bet is more appropriate on the river because he probably wouldn't play a T that way so best case scenario is you're splitting.

Re: 2 mid PP in the blinds vs steal attempt.
Hand 1 is tricky because you might be able to move the button off overcards, but BB ain't going no where if he catches a piece of the flop. I raise pre and hope the BB dumps, if not, it is tricky...

Looks to me like he thought he was afraid his A2 was no good on the flop or possibly also hit his Jack in which case it's a battle of kickers and you're already pretty close to playing the board...
