Re: best turn line?

Check raise the turn. It is certainly risky since a free card stinks, but with the 9 pairing I think villian is betting this turn almost every time.

Re: Trying to fold an overpair

Well in regards to the subject, you will never ever fold an overpair in a blind steal situation unless there is a four flush or four straight on the board. Even then you get called down frequently. ...

Re: Turn question w/ QQ, Party 30/60.

Hmm, tough one. Ace is certainly the most common holding for villian here. Most other possibilities would have raised the flop (like 88).

With the club I like check calling the turn for sure. ...

Re: Stars 30/60 river.

Man that is brutal. Tough to come with many ways you are ahead here. No way I'm betting or calling 2 cold here. What can MP have that you beat? Only way I can see it is is UTG has AJ, MP has AQ,...

Re: Fairly Common Situation

Given that it is now HU, he is likey going to bet the turn whether he is on a draw or not. I like check calling this turn. Bet/fold is no good since he can raise a lot of hands you beat (assuming...

Re: 10/20 AQ

I think a K is the most likely hand. A lot of guy would get scared of that J on the turn. I think there is just enough doubt given that he is a donk that you can call the river though. He could...

Re: How many bets?

[ QUOTE ]
I definitely want to put in 15 bets if he would put in 14 with a worse hand. But the point is, if 2 bets is not enough, and 15 is too many, how do I figure out where to stop?

Re: How many bets?

You want to put in 15 more BBs with second pair, ok kicker with a gut shot?

Re: AK against a very good player.

Call the turn. IF you dont improve on the river you have to decide whether this cillian will bet AK unimproved. Most players will check the river with AK here. You can probably fold the river UI,...

Re: Throwing the Changeup

I would call this down. JJ seems likely from this guy who is not overly aggressive. I think a guy with his stats would not cap the turn here with less than a set. KK, QQ, or AA are possible, so...

Re: 100/200, what\'s your flop play?

I only play in the 40/80 once every couple weeks (if that). But I was there yesterday. 6'4", red, very short hair......I only play OK live, actaully have trouble reading the board sometimes lol.

Re: River Question

The obvious question is does this get ever check call and Ace here on two streets. My default would be to put in one bet on the river no matter what happens.

Re: Losing EV not changing your nickname?

While certainly not proof of anything; I have changed account or screen names a total of 7 times. Each and every time I have immediately gone on a very large downswing. I cant really figure out...

Re: Dead Man Drawing

While the math presentation of this hand is rather rediculous, this is a very interesting post for me. Thank you for posting it. I would never have played the hand in that fashion and this post has...

Re: 15, straight out of HPFAP?, 3 way, for overcall

[ QUOTE ]
that's fair. With 10BBs in the pot, villian need 4outs to correctly fall. Considering that he has 3-4 outs to a split pot, a raise here is best (fold to a 3bet). However, I'm sure as...

Re: AJ improves...super de duper

I like bet/call for sure. I think he has QQ,KK, JT, J8 or AJ here a lot of the time. Giving a free s.d. to those hands is pretty weak (except AJ) and he is calling all of them every time.

There...

Re: 200/400 bellagio AQo

[ QUOTE ]
I can't say I know the dynamics of 200/400, but what are the odds that a hand you beat will bet into you again on the turn? My guess is that they're fairly low, in which case a flop raise...

Re: Another 200/400 bellagio hand vs terri

If he calls and leads (not a terrible play), shouldn't he 3-bet the river given what took place in the KJ hand?

I know what you mean about gaining and losing what a hand seems worth. ...

Re: Another 200/400 bellagio hand vs terri

I think BK has thebest hand here close to 50% of the time.

Bottom line is that I most certainly do not want to put in 7 BB on the two streets, nor do I ever want to fold. If BK 5 bets, he can...

Re: Another 200/400 bellagio hand vs terri

I would call and lead the river. I am definitely not folding your hand at any point and I dont think you are winning enough if 3 more big bets go in.

1-2 more BBs seems comfortable and...

Re: Can This Be Right?

I'm at 30% and I call a lot. I play a little more passive then I used to, when I would fold to river more like 36%. 52% seems high, but not so much so that I think it is impossible to win that way....
