Stepping up

I've been playing 2/4 at Party and Paradise, and I've averaged 3.6 BB/100 since July 1, or 20K hands. So, I figure it's time to step up. I've been playing about 8K hands so far, but not doing so...

How long can you run good?

Hi all,

Been searching for the FAQ, can't find it. If you know where it is, please direct me to it. If there's no FAQ, I have a few questions:

What is the highest, sustainable BB/100 one is...

Problems with Paradise?

Hi all,

I'm having huge problems playing at Paradise Poker. It seems that almost every hand I get disconnected from the site, especially in tournaments. I time out and get folded.

Anybody else...

:) I appreciate your comments to JacksonsTens. While it may be a sounder plan, I think I'd get impatient playing 0.02/0.04 limit poker. After playing $20/$40 - even though I was losing,...

Re: Won $ WSF %?

OK guys, I think I've been a bit unclear here. The main point of the post is my question about how high everybody's "Won $ WSF %" is. How many hands I would win if I saw every flop, and how much...

Won $ WSF %?

If you had a 100 % see flop, and you stay until the river, this should be 10% at a full ring table. I'm just curious what other people have.

Also - I've read the term "donk bet" a few times, don't...

The OP would have been well advised to use the search function as it would have turned up hundreds of hits.

He also could have worded his question much better. Saying that he wins on...

Fundamental difference between Limit and NL tourneys?

Is there one? I do OK in NL tourneys, come into the money reasonably often and fairly high not quite as often. In Limit though, it's like I don't have a chance - I mean, I'm not even close to making...

Re: Different probabilities on different sites?

Thanks for the advice. As for the number of hands I've played, I have 78K on record, not including tournaments. So I think I'm OK. I just thought it was funny that I apparently can only play at one...

friend, my purpose is not to disappoint you but rather encourage. 11.5K hands is still a very small sample size. the consensus here at 2+2 is 100k hands starts to become meaningful. ...

Different probabilities on different sites?

I know this sounds like a _really_ dumb question, but are there differences between sites? I've been a consistent winner on Paradise for over a year now, but whenever I go somewhere else I lose. I've...

Re: Bad player or cold cards

Thanks for the advice everybody.

No, I don't think I'm involved in too many hands - I play a loose style, but I've always hovered between 19 to 23 percent. I find that I make up for the extra...

Bad player or cold cards

I'm trying to find out if I'm experiencing a _really_ hard down swing, or if I just lost my game somewhere. Since the middle of May, I can't seem to win a session. The _feeling_ I have is that I more...

Rules question: Paying the big blind three times in a row at one table

I'm having a mail discussion with the support at Pacific Poker. Here's what happened to me:

The blinds were 75/150 and we were short handed at my table. I was the short stack with about T$ 1200,...

You're very welcome. Yup, things like QJ9, etc., should get fewer outs.

I got creamed - did I deserve it?

I got slaughtered at this table, lost 25 BB's in 100 odd hands. When this happens I just get up and leave - I can't really tell if I'm being outplayed or outlucked. Tell me what you think.

Hand...

All I can say is I feel your pain. And I do mean I feel it. Right now I'm down about 200 BB's in about 5K hands or the last ten days. My win percentage is at 8.0 percent. Before this happened I had a...

Bankroll isn't something magic or a hard rule. Nobody will make sure you have it and punish you if you don't. You need about 300 BB's to play at a certain level because sooner or later variance will...
