Re: Gutshot + overcard + Backdoor = bet?

8 outs in a 2.5BB pot, out of position with three weak draws? I'd fold this one on the flop. If the pot were, say, 4BB, or if you had the button, then you could bet this a lot more easily.

Re: AQs (with suits this time), sorry for the repost

With 4 people seeing the flop, you are getting more out of the money you put in the pot than what you are putting in, and you are drawing to the royal (1 out), nut straight (3 outs), nut flush (8...

Re: Table gave me a free card and 8 more outs. Still, worth the call?

I was rolling eyes at myself (Used to other forum with rolleyes icon, excuse me). I didn't observe the situation carefully. I'm the idiot here, I thought my previous post made it clear.

Re: Table gave me a free card and 8 more outs. Still, worth the call?

Yeah, those two outs don't even count, I didn't even look at the board carefully because it was so "obvious" to me

Re: Table gave me a free card and 8 more outs. Still, worth the call?

Very weak hand, you ARE beat, which means you are drawing to a weak 4 outer. If you think it's a bluff, raise to isolate him. Well, you'd raise to isolate him if you had better position.

Re: Big Slick Suited for the Short Stack

If it's QQ and below calling you, and you are sure of it for whatever reason, I'd say it's okay to call. You aren't shortstacked yet, but your stack is small enough that you aren't likely to be able...

Re: is Ace-King-GOD???????.....at 25 NL PARTY???????

If you raise it, there will be one or two idiots that call you with something like A8 (My limited experience at Party) - you want one or two of them in your game, because you will make lots of money...

Re: Can you guess what SB has?

Just seeing the post, and looking at the flop, I immedeatly though "AA or AJ".

I would have probably raised preflop, upon getting reraised, check/folded the flop. The fact that he tried to CR...

Re: is Ace-King-GOD???????.....at 25 NL PARTY???????

No offense here, but don't take up writing. You aren't getting responses because people don't understand. (Erm, some responses now, I took a nap in between starting to post this and finishing it)

Re: did i play it right?

Your flush draw is basically worthless, anyone with an ace, king, queen will likely stick around. Your top pair isn't worthless, but with the 3flush on the board and more cards to come, it isn't...

Re: Flop action facing 3 bets cold.

QJ is a distinct possibility, but also don't rule out Axs here, limping in and hitting top pair + 4flush, I'd be thinking Axs sooner than QJ personally, although both are quite probable, as they are...

Re: What do y\'all think of my Bengals bet?

They mauled the Pat's backup defense, and half the game was played with their decidedly inferior backup QB, not that the offense did great under Brady, but they at least didn't get 4.4 yards/pass,...

Re: Is it possible to beat the rake in Foxwoods\' 2-4 HE or O8?

I've only played there once, but the play on the part of a lot of people is just terrible. You can add more starting hands and play them carefully, should be able to beat the rake there. There are...

Re: AQs in MP. I think i\'ve gone from passive to LAG.

I would have simply called the 3bet preflop - in the SB he's gonna be on AK/AA/KK/QQ for most people to do that. If you have a LAG read on the guy, your play is great, if you have a normal read/no...

Re: How many callers do you want with KK

The more callers, the better.

They aren't going to call an all in with garbage. If they do, they have a huge disadvantage to you.

They will call an all in with AA. There is a ~1 in 26 chance...

Re: Taking NPA advice too far?

Raising the flop with a gutshot draw, and an ace high? Quite simply, you are beat here. I'd check or bet the flop, and fold to a raise. You have 4 outs, that's about a 1 in 12 shot of hitting your...

Re: Weird play begets weirder play

Keep it simple, stupid.

I think the only time I ever limped in preflop with AA was in a game with 3 people, one was very, very LAGgy.

I would only make special "adjustments" to my play in...

Re: My Preflop Statistics

I like Axs more than suited connectors for flushes, and the baby suited connectors I don't touch except in the BB/SB (32 through 65), and I don't bother with 1-gaps at all unless there is a face card...

Re: Raise the flop or the turn? You play it.

With 2 of a suit on the flop, play the flop harder, and then you can play the turn hard if the suited card dosen't come up. If there's only one of a suited card up, then feel free to check/call and...

Re: Fudging the math a bit--with my trusty sledgehammer.

I usually just count a backdoor flush as 1 out from the flop on if I'm doing it that way, I'll play a pair or 2 overcards + backdoor flush draw for a bet, whereas I'll fold bottom pair without the...

Re: Flush > Full House?

I'm a lot more apt to play a flush if it has an ace or king, I won't fold a lower flush most of the time, but I just don't get them that often as I try to position myself into a place where I have...

Re: How many people do YOU like to have in the pot before you call with Ax

With A2-A5, I will check/call the flop, and bet the turn if noone bet on the flop. If the hand was raised preflop, I'd consider raising a bet on the flop if I have a feeling KK is in the pot, or...

Re: How many people do YOU like to have in the pot before you call with Ax

I'll play A8s+ in any loose/passive game, from most positions. If it's particularly loose, I'll go in with worse. It's an easy fold if the flop misses me, and generally on Party there seem to be...
