Re: raise turn fold to a 3 bet

[ QUOTE ]
I like the flop line but when the turn pairs the J, if I plan to fold to a 3bet, I usually just call down instead.

It costs me the same and I get a chance to hit my 2 outer.

Re: 2/4 : AA - where did I go wrong?

I think I take your line here. Really unsure in my mind about this one though, against a table of unknowns.

Re: Playing A-high at the Best Table Ever

Is this play (turn donk with hopes of blowing out field) really profitable at 2/4? From my experience, it seems when a super aggro-fish has been at a table for a while, the table tends to overcall...

Cap preflop.

Bet the turn and start thinking about call down mode if he pops it again.

This is the the bread and butter.

Re: Quiz from Phil Gordon\'s website

[ QUOTE ]
This is wrong in my opinion.

Even if you just have 6 outs, 85-20 is actually plenty good to call with 6 outs considering all those outs are very clean and you have good implied odds.

Re: River play. How much do I suck?

I would raise and expect to be shown Jx.

Can we raise then fold to 3 bet here? O.o .... My inclination would eb to say no given pot size and that a lot of fish on 2/4 play counterfitted two pairs...

Re: PF raise with QJs?

Nice hand. I can't find any folds. i think the Deranged pf quiz clarified the pf action. Here is a quick hijack question: You post in CO at 3/6, get dealt 24o, and it is folded to you....

Re: PF raise with QJs?

I should add that the blinds were loose passives as were the limpers, and that button was a TAG.

Although if table was different, should I still raise this PF for some sort of equity edge? I was...

Re: 99 spew or goot?

PF is standard.

I don't like the flop bet with four people to act behind you.

Turn bet seems like a small spew unless you have a read on the UTG+1 that he will fold to random overcard donk bets.

Re: How do we play low PP (22-66) UTG?

This fold is standard. Thus you need conditions (like unusually loose passive as aforementioned) that are not standard in order to make the non-standard play of calling.

Flop continuation bet with position more. And perhaps sometimes without position if there are not many people in the pot with you.

If you don't feel...

Re: 8-16 1/2 kill: Red queens, black flop

I don't think you're raising for value often enough here to make a turn raise worthwhile. If you were second to act after the SB and could face the field with two cold, then that'd be a different...

Re: Party 3/6.... do I go for the trifecta while trapping the whole fi

Also, the chance that pf raiser checks here, coupled with that he might raise anyway when I bet makes this a lead out.

But since I said assume I KNOW he has an overpair and will bet, I do agree...

Re: Party 3/6.... do I go for the trifecta while trapping the whole fi

Re: Party 3/6.... do I go for the trifecta while trapping the whole field?

excuse me, i was wrong about my use of the term trifecta here, since i wasn't the aggressor.

so i just ask, do i try to trap the field on all 3 streets?
