Re: AKs hand.
[ QUOTE ]
What about capping the flop?
[/ QUOTE ]
I think calling is better against many opponants -- much more likely to have a chance to raise the turn.

Man oh man.
This is exactly what you said in yr initial post, and completely right ... I somehow jumped on the (completely non-existant) idea that SD scales linearly; I really shouldn't post...

Re: How SD gets high : some math
Do you know whether pokertracker actually calculates SD on a hand by hand basis? ... Seems like it'd be significantly lower if it were calculated on chunks of hands -- every ten or hundred, say --...

Re: Misapplied concept? pt. 2
I maybe don't know what I'm talking about, but -- does anyone else raise the flop & fold if bet into unimproved on the turn?
The river does look like a pretty easy fold.

Re: AmateurQuest 20,000 #3
Posting hands is good. I like it, along w/ the rest of the writing.
I'm sure you posted this particular hand because you knew you played it poorly. You _gotta_ raise the flop & river.

Re: KQs in UTG+2
looks alright to me, but i'm not really sure. I'd call the river bet (& fold as quickly as possible to the 3-bet), but w/ three other players maybe this is wrong?

one comment/question though -- if you 'knew' the raise was coming on the river, why did you bet? ... it doesn't look like you really have any reason...

Re: Bad Swing or Bad Play?
no comments on the play, but +/- 15bb doesn't really begin to qualify as a 'swing' in any number of hands.

Re: Middle Pocket Pair - Overplaying?
Of course it's player dependant, but I suspect the river bet is wrong more often than not. I'd be interested to hear what others think. ... otherwise, I like it plenty.

well, & utg+2 had 78s.
(what's to keep bb from having the other JJ? ... i know -- there are 12 ways for him to have tt or qq, and only one for jj -- still, i find it at _least_ as likely.)

Re: Sofa suckout or did I have odds to chase?
I agree that folding preflop is probably better than calling, but only barely. It's a rare hold'em hand which has under 6% chance of winning in a 9 handed pot, even if dominated. I think it's very...
