Trying a slim semi-bluff with AK

Villain in hands plays a TAG game and seems capable of folding a hand, this is the first time I reraise him during the session, about 80 hands in. I have been playing Semi-Loose aggressive.

Re: When to move NL25 -> NL50 (Party)

If your roll is above 1250$ I suggest you simply give yourself like 6 buy ins to try it out, and dont start with 4 tables, start with 2 or 3. If you spot good tables the play isn't any harder than on...

Re: How do I combat this very common situation?

I usually try and raise theese types of bets the first time they happen with a new foe, if he fights back I will not try it again unless he shows me something new against other opponents.

Re: Hit nut straight on river, board is paired and villain wakes up

Re: Hit nut straight on river, board is paired and villain wakes up

against a thinking player I would but this guy was not, and I have noticed that they almost always fold for a half pot or slightly above on this kind of board when they are empty and call anyway if...

Hit nut straight on river, board is paired and villain wakes up

Ok, opponent was loose and passive, both pre- and post flop from what I had seen, but not loose enough to play Q9 in that spot. Is it weak just to call this river, results to follow

Re: Deep $100 max hand

the guy calls 30bb preflop with JT, does it sound like a solid player? Obvious raise and hope he d0nks of some more money with a low flush or maybe even a set or whatever, he sounds like a donk.

Queens or jacks against a button raise with no reads.

Ok, you find yourself in the big blind with JJ or QQ in a 6max 100NL game, you have no reads on button. Everyone folds to him and he raises to 4$ small blind folds and you reraise to 12, he pushes....

Re: AJ - Flops trips, clear fold?

not sure about this one, but if he really is terrible, don't you think he could have weaker aces here often enough?

Re: 200nl hands...sigh

hand one I like the flop check, but bet turn and fold to a raise, if called bet river and fold to a raise, this line I think is the most likely to get two calls out of a worse ace. I like the fold on...

Annoying and badly played AA

Ok, I hate how I played this one, do I have a call on the river the way I played it? Villain hadn't done anything stupid, he was tight and semi-agg, nothing special. I mean his bet size after I check...

Re: Misplayed, but where?

if the guy is the kind of player that always bet when checked to, I suggest check-raising pot size, and get the small amount you have left in on any turn. With your flop line I would bet a bit...

Re: see mike push. push mike, push

with two opponents and a possible flushdraw + gutshot is this really way ahead way behind? they might have as much as 14 outs together

Re: Great river card, still fold?

You have to know this is a call, you shouldn't be playing at NL400 if you don't

Re: AKs and it\'s WA/WB

I am not folding this anywhere, I don't think you have enough information on the turn to lay it down and his river push is almost automatic since he has so little left compared to the pot, you are...

Re: KK on 50NL on Party

never fold this, most people never play aces this way and if this particular villain did take a note and move on

Re: Optimal VPIP and PFR% for 6-max NL ring?

I limp in with ATo, KQo utg but not QJ,JT, then I often raise a lot of marginal crap when I am first in on the button or in CO like suited one or two gappers, since I often can take it down preflop...

Re: Optimal VPIP and PFR% for 6-max NL ring?

I am averaging 25% VP$IP and 10% PFR but like Tony said this variates quite big depending on the table I am at.
