Re: AJ against maniac

I think the PF call is ok - I might have raised again... I personally would have thought twice about that Flop raise and re-raised... but the call is ok... I'd put UTG on a draw of some sort,...

Re: KK

Agreed, a raise on the flop is needed... The PF call is ok given the position.

Re: 2 AA hands. one after another. badly played?

Did the raise on the flop not make you contemplate that he may have had a ten? I've seen people call $3 PF bets with suited JT...

Re: Call this all-in with JJ?

Given his previous actions, I'm willing to say that he doesn't have a pocket pair but a fairly big hand - I'd put him on AQ or AK... I would call this all-in as you said, anyday in a tourney, but in...

Party-skin Affiliate

I play $1 Big Blind No Limit or 3/6 - a couple thousand hands a week. Looking for a Party skin that's not Party or Empire.

PM offers. Thanks.

Re: QQ turn and river play

Out of curiousity - none of you would have folded after the raise on the flop?

Can I understand the logic in calling the raise? Aren't the odds extremely high that someone out there has an Ace?

Re: I dunno guys...

Wow - I missed the fact that he was being sarcastic...

I apologize. Hehe.

Re: I dunno guys...

Wow, you need to take your arrogant head out of your ass. What was the point of your comment that they could be holding the nuts then? In pre-flop play, AA is the BEST hand, probabilistically...

Re: overpair with lots of callers ? on turn

Right now, if you bet greater than pot-size, and someone calls, you're already beat, probably with 2-pair. The likelihood of a 46 being out there is slim given the flop action...

The callers...

Re: I dunno guys...

In heads-up play, pre-flop... please tell me which two hole cards are better than AA.

Re: Best Online sites?

I like The Gaming Club personally, but I must say that Absolute Poker has tons of fish.

If you want a referral bonus, msg me and I could hook you up. TGC has a free $50 on a minimum $30 deposit...

Re: Did I bet this correctly?

Thanks a lot guys! I really learned a lot by going through my really poorly played hands, and my really well-played hands.

When you say that the river blocking bet is 1/3? Where is this number...

Re: Did I bet this correctly?

Thank you for the replies. Two lessons I learned from the replies here - I should have just called, not raised in my position with AJo. Secondly, I needed to bet half the pot on the turn to make...

Did I bet this correctly?

I like to look at the hands I've lost money on to see where I went wrong using PokerTracker.

All I can say with this hand is that I had a read on the guy - he was a calling station - but normally...

Re: Folding When I should have raised?

Thanks for the reply - I know this is my major weakness... I can't seem to let a hand go when I have a decent amount of money in the pot. Or if I don't make it...

Any thoughts on semi-bluffing? ...

Re: Folding When I should have raised?

Follow-up...

One on one again with the same person - except this time he actually had top-pair - I bet strong on the river... he thought and called.

Folding When I should have raised?

First of all, I apologize for this format. I know that I could have won this pot by betting the river strongly. Instead, I thought and thought, and then folded. Should I have raised? If so, to...

Re: KJo from the BB - hit top two on the turn

I would have played it the same way you did - it seems that he's made two-pair, a lesser two pair than yours, but the way he's played it, I don't think he's made a set. I think he has a pair of...

Re: When not to slowplay a set?

The way I view this situation may be a bit different than other people that have responded.

There are four people, this is a fairly large multi-way pot now. You need to eliminate any chance of...

Re: Difference Between PS $25 and Party $25

I've played $50 NL on Party and Prima. I must say that I found that most people on Prima bet based on the strength of their hands more than Party. I found it easier because people on Prima played...
