Re: How much of a wuss am I? 2/4 hand

Disagree alot with the everyone raise preflop. Yep its a strong hand, one of the best. Your position does suck though. You are the big blind. Only because you are BB do I not raise. If it misses...

Re: nut draw plus crappy low

I read the post and had to comment. I play a lot of pot limit O/8 on one of the biggest sites in the biggest game they have.

1) First the raise preflop good advice. I probably pot it.

2) Half...

Re: Did I play this too fast?

Yes, you did. LOL.

Now to try to be serious. I think I just call here. The biggest reason is that I think this looks the least suspicious. It looks like a tourney situation and you are just...

Re: T4s and J7s...lets get theoretical

I think you can play both of these. You are just limping in for an extra bet. I want to have a pretty good read that it's not going to be reraised behind me.

I think you are looking to hit the...

Re: What game has the greatest skill/luck ratio?

A great question. I'm curious about taking a stab.

1) PLO - This game is the nuts, the betting, the draws, the bluffs. Definately the most skill. It's all about the betting.

2) Stud - most...

Re: Wanting some opinions

Yes poker is a sport.

1) The basis of sports is competing, hopefully for a prize. Nothing better than competing for money

2) I would argue scrabble is a sport. The was a best selling book...

Re: Rough Days

Man I understand. I had a sort of bad yesterday. On Friday I try the 4 multi table party at .50/1.00. I normally play bigger limit omaha, pl omaha, or MTT. I thought I'd go for it. On Friday I...

Re: Home Game - live and great - unusual betting structure

Thanks for your response. You summed it up right, it's spread limit where it doesn't increase on latter streets. I'll do the research where you suggested.

The game has been doing great. It has...

Re: And the Answer Is:

As we say in the Omaha game, "This post got a ton of action."

I really have to disagree with you on this, as have a few other people. I would want to know the information on two questions before...

Re: Home Game - live and great - unusual betting structure

No. That is a great question. You have to make the raise at least as much as the bet. The one wierd exception. I do this a lot. If you are the first one in the pot you can make it a $3 total...

Home Game - live and great - unusual betting structure

I play in a home game in Denver. I call it a "professional" home game. She has two games a week. The betting structure is unusual.

1) A game with a professional dealer, that does not rake. I...

My problem is I can't find...

Re: Debatable Party 30+3 PLO8 MTT Play as Chip Leader Late in Tourney

Well I really dislike this in several ways.

1) No wheel draw. It is rare that I play any hand that does not have a wheel draw. The only way I play this is if I can limp from the button.

2) ...

The value of the Spftware?

I thought a lot of the value of the software would be to look up opponents to see how much the raise, if they win/lose, see the flop etc.

I thought this would be at least 50% of the value.

Re: Just an overpair vs a very aggressive player

Fold the flop. Maybe I get outplayed to much in this game. But I'm folding on the flop. I want to make the nuts. You want to in all games, but here it really matters. I don't care if I think...

Re: When your opponent wants to see your cards for free...

2) Lay both cards face down and say. ...

Re: O8 - Flopping the dreaded middle straight in the Big Blind

I'm a little different than most players. I think I check the hand on the flop. What I am going for is the check raise. I hope one of those late position players bets and then I can raise to...

Re: The psychology/EV of drinking in live games?

A very passionate arguement by both sides. I'll take the side of drinking. "I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontallabodamy."
