Re: Would you ever fold flopped trips?

[ QUOTE ]

Re: Results - Question

[ QUOTE ]
If you bet, what's your plan? If I'm reading your logic correct, it sounds like your plan is to fold if you're raised, and if called, assume you're ahead and keep betting. Is that right?...

Re: AA Deep Stack Pre-flop

exactly, it was just you vs BB there (if Button had called 105, he would have called all-in, plus you'll have a big side pot with the BB).

Re: seven two offsuit

I don't think MP2 thought very much, it was just a stunt that i do too sometimes too for image purposes (though it's fairly pointless online). Just shows how much power the raiser (in this case the...

Re: Playing Kings headsup on an ace-high board

Very good question posed in this post, and one i still have not found a satisfactory answer to and one that doesn't say 'it depends on the player'.

Erm, I usually check behind here and fold to a...

Re: misplayed on every street?

ok each to their own, but when is QJo going to make a profit if not in a 5-6 way pot? I don't play K10o, A10o, J10o, Q10o, 109o any longer except occasionally on the button, but QJo is often useful...

Re: flopped trips

Usually muck 109o preflop, but it's alright playing it on the button, perhaps CO, sometimes.

You can lose a lot of money on flopped trips (obvious trips with a pairred board that is), when you're...

Re: What would you do w/ AKs?

He's a pretty solid player. He would make this raise with pocket pair down to 77, AJ, A9s, KQs, and probably KQ.

Re: KQo

No gavrilo, you can play KQo in any position on Party 0.25/0.50 games. Sometimes not in a raised pot. And never raise with them yourself (unless stealing blinds/shorthanded/running over table).

Re: misplayed on every street?

Nothing wrong with playing this preflop, but the problem wih drawing to 1 card non-nut flushes is that people are only going to play along if they have you beat.

Even if you are drawing to a nut...

Re: To Mikey

JJ slowplaying would be the only hand i'd be worried about. AA going for a check-raise doesn't make sense to me in this context after the preflop reraise it's already shown a lot of strength, to try...

Re: PLO8: sometimes correct to fold nuts to possible freeroller?

btw there is the 'other poker' forum here where people talk about omaha.

i think possibly flat calling the flop was fine here, but you should have raised the turn, it's quite often someone will...

Re: PLO8: sometimes correct to fold nuts to possible freeroller?

don't know much about O or O8, but i think you're thinking along the right lines. in this hand there was only a high, it gets a lot more complicated in O8 usually, and it is much more common for...

Re: Semi-bluff raising the turn?

Thanks for the comments. I pretty much agree with all of them. I was thinking about no limit mainly. I think you need to find a fairly tight game to be doing it frequently which is hard on party. ...

Re: Results - Question

I often bet out my trips on the flop. Check-calling the flop and check-raising the turn are the standard play. If you bet the flop, people don't expect you to have the goods as much. Though it...

i think he's trying to take you off it. If he really had the goods, like two pair, set, straight, etc he would check-raise the turn.

he thinks his pair or overpair or whatever is good and thinks...

Re: To Mikey

I have one problem with this hand: checking the flop.

If you've raised with AK, yes, you can waste a lot of money bluffing it when you don't hit. I think it's fine to take a stab from late...
