after flopping the ace, the play was to check-raise all-in.

the pot was plenty big enough.

of course if you elect to call which i doubt you would then i get 5 outed... but i think i pick up...

I'm a huge advocate of insta-rebuys and in the live rebuys I play I have done it everytime.. and it has led to better play and better results IMHO... albeit with some higher variance

you made a number of errors here:

1) it is almost never correct to make a "mini-raise" to 400.. that does not serve to do anything.

2) you can't Call that raise. you do not mention the other...
