Re: River donkbet on scare card

If your read on him is correct, that he wouldn't have TT, JJ or KK because he'd have raised those, then there are only a few hands that beat you; Kx where x is J,T or 8, or those pairs you feel like...

Re: Not raising with KK on good flop

Gotta raise the flop, primarily for value, but also to try to shuck any weak ace, one card BDF draws and gutshots.

Re: Pusing The Turn

I like the line of betting the turn, (folding to his c/r if that comes) and checking behind UI on the river for a freebie.

Re: Am I Wearing a Skirt or a Kilt?

I like the 3-bet the flop, lead the turn line.

And I agree with QTip about putting some pressure on MP-1, who just keeps check-calling. Let him face two cold on the flop.
Your turn check sets up...

Re: Not wanting to move up... comfort zone?

Since you are playing primarily for your own pleasure, you should feel free to play at whatever limit you find pleasing. If moving up makes you uncomfortable enough that you feel it would blunt your...

Re: AA 5/10 did I miss value?

The board is good for you. Very little chance anybody has a two. It would be wonderful for you if villain had something like A-7, as he's bet/raise all through the hand. You needed to three bet the...

Re: Friday nights are ridic

Slim,

Looks good to me.
I believe the river fold was the right move, especially with 2 more behind you.

Actually when BB 3-bet the turn, you looked like a dead duck.

With a pot this size...

Re: AA

What would UTG limp with and then cap the flop after these cards fall? You have to feel like he'd raise preflop with KK or JJ. My guess is he has a K but not two of them. He may have two pair, Ks and...

Re: QQ.....what\'s the plan?

Not too bad a hand for a Stop n Go. We're not clearly ahead, have two opps and the board sets up draws, potentially for both, as well as for me. It would be good to see the turn card, plus the sng...

Re: JJ

With a third player in the hand, even if he is a fish, and with all the possibilities on this board, I think I'd just call here and accept the overcall from the fish.

Re: JJ - Overcall on river?

Bet the river, fold to a raise.

Your check on the river portrays weakness and invites a bet from a player(s) you may have beat. And UTG, seeing this confusion may assume that MP3 is stealing and...

This is one of those hands that I'll play a variety of different ways in the same session, including the precise line you took. Although I think that check/call, check/call, bet/fold has...

Re: Raised on the river

It would be good for you to have some idea of the range of hands Button might call your p/f raise with. He sounds pretty loose from his stats.

Pot size is often the final arbiter of your actions...

Hi, WD,

Nice interesting hand for discussion.
You played kind of a standard OOP WA/WB line, which seems right.
Were you surprised when UK checked the river? And what did you put him on at that...

Re: I step back for a second...

That 3 bet on the turn is bad news. His stop 'n go and then the reraise suggest he may have made his hand, and he's prolly gonna show you a flush or maybe a set.

You could make your flush on the...
