Bungie has publicly stated that they are working something to do with halo 2 still. What kind of content it is, who knows, but it's probably maps. Zero clue on if/when they'll be on live.

That blows. Mine went out about a year ago (different reason). I ended up buying a new one after calling support and asking if they could do anything about it. They made me an offer to fix it...
