Re: Is moving up this way okay?

I agree add like 10K to your roll and start playing 10/20 15/30. It's not like you can't move back down to your usual limits if you find yourself unable to beat these games. And that still leaves you...

Re: Playing for money that will more than triple your roll......

Re: 78s flops a strong draw against a big stack

EV on the push looks pretty marginal, if it's a mistake it's not a large one. I like it for the image play. Sends a nice message to the big stack to leave you alone.

Re: 78s flops a strong draw against a big stack

How many players were left? How many chips do the other players have? What's the payout structure?

Re: Being a donkey from time to time

I think you both played it fine. He's got 4K left with blinds at 600/1200. You didn't raise pre-flop so he probably thinks your not particularly strong. I'd probably push any two on that flop.

As...

Re: Home Game Horror Story

Everyone seems concerned with returning the money from that hand but it seems to me you've been playing with a bad deck from the start of the night. I'd just return everybodies buy-in cash, get a new...

Re: My fellow workers bet on five card draw heads up, ten dollars a ha

I think I've got you trumped here. My old co-workers on the boat used to play 5-card draw. Catch was they had no ante and no bet before the draw. They also had about 8 wild cards so I can't see why...

Re: Bigger Blinds?

Alternatively you could also have a 3rd big blind posting a blind raise (same as a live straddle only required). I can't see this causing players to "play better hands" though. With more forced money...
