Re: Too much action given?

I like the turn raise.

But what about just calling the flop, planning to call down UI? This seems like a WA/WB situation, and we don't want to let him get away from JJ-KK cheaply, or give too...

Re: 88 SB, overpair

Tough spot. In the heat of the moment I'd probably just bet out the flop, but I like your line better. It's worth risking it getting checked through (or an EP bet) because CRing here is so...

Re: QQ, should I have been able to find a fold on the turn here

I play it the same. If UTG+1 wasn't in there, I might just call the turn, call the river, but it's hard not to raise with him hanging around. You definately can't fold against this guy - maniacs...

Re: Can I fold this, good hand?, good pot

What about raising the turn? If CO isn't an idiot, his play looks a lot like a flush draw and it'd be nice to charge him some more. I don't think it's that likely that SB will 3-bet us here with a...

Re: Letters of Resignation

My $0.02...

First, I doubt that formal letter is neccessary, but I suppose it can't hurt. Regardless of whether you hand him a letter or not, though, be sure to tell your boss to his face. ...

Re: Poll: would you sit at an electronic table at a B&M room?

I'd rather shoot myself than play at a table like this. I don't think that they will ever catch on - if people didn't like the live aspect of touching cards and chips, then you would see a lot more...

Re: pretty simple question

I think it simply comes down to how often you are ahead.

If you are ahead, then betting is clearly right because you can protect your hand and give yourself the option of a free showdown or...

Re: bad cards + bad playing = teh suck

thanks, it was surprisingly cathartic to write it all out (it's nice to have a forum dedicated to crap like this). I've gotten in the habit of not really talking about my losses, since most of my...

Hobbs,

I think this is a terrible spot for this play. How often do you think that Q high is going to win at showdown? If you are going to semi-bluff this, I think you have...

Re: GTA Real Life Driving

Oddly enough, the only effect that GTA had on my driving was that I became a lot more ballsy while driving in reverse.

bad cards + bad playing = teh suck

(this is the forum for whining, right?)

live game, I dropped just over 41BB in just under 3 hours. It wouldn't hurt so much if it was just bad beats, but it wasn't.

Table was shorthanded most...

Re: My losing streak wins!!

Not much to add, but you should try to get out and play live if you can. If nothing else, it'll help restore some confidence when you get a good look at your opponents and realize just how clueless...

This is a crazy hand. I'm having a hard time putting anybody on anything. If MP2 is really a TAG, how many hands is he cold-calling with PF with no other callers yet? I also have a hard...

Re: NL tournies, all in pulse races...even in freerolls

ck,

I think that it will go away with experience. Try this - find the cheapest NL ring game or tourney you can find (like the paradise $2 max NL) and go all-in *a lot* (like maybe every other...

I'm just curious - for those who answered the poll with a "Yes" for whether the game is beatable:

How is this game beatable? What would be your strategy to beat this game?

Re: So is this normal? How should the house handle this? If anything..

I see this all the time. Usually it's about 50-50 between a player that thinks he's being clever and deceptive (and actually has something like TP) and a player that's just having fun and isn't all...

Re: Free card decision
