65 suited vs. LAG, my line

Hi All,

Playing 6 handed. LAG in MP limped, folded to me in the SB. I had 65s (clubs). I completed and the BB checked.

Flop came ragged with 962 rainbow (included 9 of clubs).

On the flop...

Re: Flop play with a big draw.

I prefer hero's line here because capping the flop is likely to lose the SB, whom has little chance of winning if you make your hand. You have the potential of picking up an extra 2.5 bb's that way...

Re: $215s - Controversial AQ Hand

Hi Curtains,

My post was not directed at anyone specifically. I use ICM, call much more than many successful players at the end of games, and aggressively play good hands early (there are more...

Re: $215s - Controversial AQ Hand

Hi Guys,

I don't post very often but this one is tough to avoid. I am a very successful 215 player....very successful. Like everyone, I occassionally make a bad play or am not sure what the...

Re: Tell me what you think. 215.

Hi Guys,

I see this move all the time, and make it myself once in awhile. I got bad news for people that think it won't get called. If the player has moved in once or twice before I will call with...

Hi IIt,

This is why it is so good to post hands. Your comment below is one I should heed:

Re: Falling in love with AA...

Hi Guys,

I sure don't think I played this well pre-flop and on the turn. On the river, I am likely to lose all my chips pretty much everytime.

I almost never slowplay, but viewed this as a...

Falling in love with AA...

Hi Guys,

This happened on a PP 215 on the 1st hand.

UTG calls 15, all fold to the SB. I am the SB call with AA...(yeah, I know, no big raise, but I figure perfect time for rare slowplay hiding...

Re: JJ Early In a Tournament

Hi Guys,

I think going all in is too aggressive. If you were raised by one opponent I might do it (unlikely though) but the fact is you were called by one opponent that you still have to worry...

Re: Calling off your stack on the bubble

Hi All,

I think calling here is automatic. You know that the range of hands the villian is pushing with is wide. If his push range is something like this ...any pair, Ax, Kx Q10+ you will be ahead...

Re: Push TT this early?

Hi DJ,

I agree trips are a remote possibility, but not enough to prevent me from moving forward with a substantial raise on the flop. The idea would be to raise the pot enough to make it incorrect...

I wouldn't fold AQ here if there was a gun to my head.

Hi DJ,

I think there are some issues with this post.

However, there is a good chance that you're up against a set or 2 pair.

Hi Flying,

I think this pretty much sums it up. Only the shortstack would call with a hand as vulnerable as A10. Benno probably isn't calling without aces.

Re: Why push any 2?

Hi Matt,

It is important to understand the concept of ICM and "pushing with any 2", but this is specific instance was NOT a push any two situation. This is not in any way meant to criticize...

Re: new situation for me, how did I play it?

Hi Pearl,

I like the flop raise....I have to believe you are ahead at this point and might rid yourself of opponents with overcards. I would not be too pleased with everyone calling your raise....

Why you can make good $$ at 215\'s

Hi Guys,

3rd hand of $215. I have AA in MP. UTG is LAG and makes it 60. I raise to 150 and the cutoff re-raises to 450. I push in and both call. Flop comes little, turn is a 6 and I loose to UTG...

Push with 55 in this situation

This is a PP $215
I am shortstacked with 330 chips and the blinds are 25/50. I am one off the cutoff. A player with a large stack makes a 3x bet from MP. I have 55. I put him on two big cards (he...

This 1st hand was...

Making stand on the Bubble with A9

Hi All,

I made a stand against a very aggressive big stack when the big stack could bust me. I could likely coast into 3rd in this situation or try to double up and go for 1st place.

I decided...

Re: Comments on this hand, getting berated

Thanks for the comments. This hand has to be -ev to limp UTG and ---ev when it is 3 bet back. I seriously considered dumping it. There were only a few flops that allow me to continue the...
