He called the raise and I showed my hand. He looked somewhat sickened.

A few hands later I heard him tell a friend of his that he flopped a set of 9s and I rivered a two outer. He said it...

Re: First session of 40/80 at commerce

Value bet the river.

It is my belief that those kind of turn donk bets are typically a made hand that wants to avoid giving you a free card. If this is the case here, that means he doesn't have...

I like Bobbyi's idea. That's the first thing I thought of. Yes, the guy may see through it, but I'll find out how he reacts rather than just assume how he will. If he folds, this could...

Re: Dark checkraised w/KK -- 5handed 20/40 at the Muckleshoot

That was sort of my thinking too.

I just called and raised when a K hit on the river.

I've posted a Next Action part of the thread though to see how Joe and others would respond to a cap.

Would he 3-bet TT preflop? If so, I like Joe's plan. If not, then I'd call down.

Re: Dark checkraised w/KK -- 5handed 20/40 at the Muckleshoot

Heh.. nice story.

There are passive donks in the Muck 20/40 game that I will take the smooth-call/raise-turn line against (i.e. the majority) but there are some that will see right through it. I...

Dark checkraised w/KK -- 5handed 20/40 at the Muckleshoot

Villain can be tough at times. In case anyone knows him, his name is Lee and he typically plays 30/60 with 50/100 overs at the Muck and I believe he plays 100/200+ at the Commerce. He's a ~50 year...

Re: Flop action?

BB is the lag from the first hand, right? If so, my plan here is to lead and hope he raises to clear out someone holding the T or 9 of spades.

325K hands of variance

Lots of 1-200BB swings along the way. And yes, downswing in the end is ~400BB.

0 to ~75K was 0.5/1 to 5/10
75K to ~170 was 15/30 & 20/40
170K to 250K was 20/40 and 30/60 (flat... no edge?)...

Wrap it in a rubber hand or a hair scruncy and put it in your pocket when you go through security. I definitly wouldn't put it in either a carry on or checked bag.

Re: Betting flush draws into a field OOP

I'll bet those flops 100% of the time if we are 3-handed.

If we are 4 handed or more, I only bet them about 50% when 4 handed and about 25% if we have more. This is good enough to make me...
