Re: QQ in a big pot, how\'s my line

This is pretty much how I'd play it. I don't think you can slow down until the turn 3-bet (that's when things get real).

If his AF is a little lower, then you can slow down to his turn bet. ...

Re: How do you prepare for a session?

I think that if you prepare, you won't play at your best... similar to bowling and golf.

Preperation is practice (for poker... reading, posting, thinking about hands, etc)... if you try to...

Although, there aren't any real good draws, I don't believe a flop raise is that bad.

Re: Value Betting taken too far? (hh)

I would say based on his overall AF, yeah... he's to passive to raise river when he's behind, but if you can, break out the AFs into streets. If he's 0 0 7... i might c/c river or b/c river.

Re: Table momentum?

Yes... there is something to momentum. It can effect you in many ways. The biggest ones (or at least the biggest ones that hit me) were:

1. Loss of psychological edge.

It's easy to get a...

Re: KK check-raised by a TAG head\'s up

Do you have the Aggression Factors broken out into all streets?

A 2.0 post flop AF could be done a few different ways... it could be low on the turn and river and really high on the flop. If this...

I have been trying to loosen up from the blinds. J7s seems loose to be calling a raise though. And this hand does not seem multiway enough - too loose?

[ QUOTE ]
The reason why I didn't value bet the river was because I thought I'd only get hands I beat to call.

[/ QUOTE ]

Huh?

Bet the river.

Re: Turn decision

I fold.

I would be worried about villain having an 8 more than a T.

Pot is small.

Re: AKo hand(also posted in micro-limit)

I think this is an easy river bet.

You checked behind on the turn, why would any hand that beats you not bet this river? If that K didn't hit you, then you would have checked behind and they get...

Re: Unimproved AK improves

It's a toughy.

If opponent has an 8, a bet may make him fold, as you raised from BB pf. If opponent has a 5, you are drawing pretty thin, and a bet will see a raise here.

You could go for a...

Re: 10/20 QJ hand vs lags.

Here's my thoughts (as n00bie as they are)...

On the flop, the BB c/3-bets. The button is "very loose". What does capping the flop get you? I don't think much.

Why not just call the 3-bet...

Re: A 10/20 observation.

OK... not at 10/20 yet, but close....

At 5/10, I think calling this bet (in big pots) is sometimes good w/ A-hi HU if you feel there's a decent chance that they are pushing a draw on the flop...

Dude... just one comment....

Wouldn't it be much easier to play if you didn't take a marker and draw lines through the names? And what's with that distracting arrow?

Re: AQo on BB to a SB raise (First in) - River Play

This hand happened during a sweat hour with JoeTall.

Joe said that this should have been just called... I debated w/ him a little and raised anyway. He referred to it as a "win 1, lose 2"...
