The "check dark" comment led...

15/30 river decision

Apparently the passing of the 25th of December did nothing to dampen the generous mood found in today's live 15-30. Hero is in lucksack mode hitting many, many hands and rushing.

Hero open raises...

Re: 15/30 AA...is it ok to call down now?

I also like this line for the overcalls from the button.

Re: 15/30 KK value bet the river?

IMO, a bet is in order. As has been noted, for an 8 to check seems ridiculous.

Re: AA-----what\'s my river line

Bet/call.

Villain's call on the flop and turn seem to indicate he is in call down mode. IMO, his likely range of hands are 10 10 - KK and maybe AK. I think villain would have raised on the flop or...

Re: 15/30 button 3bet

onegymrat,
Thank you for your reply. In this particular game, even with this player, a raise from the CO does not neccessarily mean great strength (he auto mucked on the highly coordinated flop)....

Re: 15/30 button 3bet

Chief,
Thank you for your reply. I agree with you after thinking the hand through. The missed bet on the turn was my main concern. Its good to hear the thoughts from others. Overall I think I played...

Re: 15/30 button 3bet

Upon reflection, all 3 seconds of it after I called, I agreed with this, but if I don't post my mistakes too, I'm lying to myself.

Please don't kick me out of the forum.

Jim,
I agree with you, this is fairly interesting. My inital instinct was a raise on the river, but...

If BB has QQ or KK the turn/river line is horrible. If BB has J...

Hi all,
I have been lurking here on and off for a while and I will now attempt to start posting a bit. I think the posts that I have read in the past have helped me to improve my game, and I hope...

Re: OK, these are the hands that may be costing me an extra 2BBs each

I have to agree with goofball and chief. I think a 3bet on the flop is best. Then bet/fold the turn. Villain must be super aggro to make bet/call, check/call a good choice. In my experience villain's...

Re: Tourney strategy: Playing pocket pairs with raises in front of you

Hi,
For what its worth, my criteria for calling a raise with a small pocket pair are:
Implied odds: this includes my stack size and my opponents stack size, for example it doesn't matter if you...

Canadian Poker Championship hand

Hi all,
I mostly just lurk, but I thought this hand may be of interest to some. 16 players left, in the money, increase in prize money every player. The blinds are $7K and $15K with a $1K ante....

missed draw, or missed bet?

Greetings all. I am fairly new to posting so please bear with me. Anyway, on with the hand. Typical 15-30 game that is in a bit of a lull with 3 chops last round. MP open limps, CO limps, button...
