Re: Should I make a move?
Your right Curtain, UTG did raise. I assume that the correct play with his short stack <10x BB is to push with his AQ here?

I'd like to know how you could possibly make a profit playing casino games with a built in negative expectation. Unless of course the bonus will make it a positive expectation, but I'd...

We'll assume the 3rd guy gets knocked out. You win (1/4) of the time and lose (3/4) of the time.

Pairs as the big stack
I understand that if you get a pp as a small stack, you need to push to an unraised pot when <10x BB. But, what
I am really confused about how to play small to mid PP. When you have a good size...

Re: Good slowplay?
I'd bet 60 again, which most of time signals at low level SNGs. "Damn the flop missed but maybe they'll fold to my pathetic bet" If he reraises you know he has overpair or A10 and if calls he is on...

Re: one annoying sit and go situation
So you'd fold A8s from EP even with 30BB stack. When would you play Axs?
Why would you push with AK as opposed to just calling a pot size bet? We are talking about bleeding off 20% of your stack...

Re: I have aces what do i do with them
Why is everybody so certain that the villian has a flush?
How about about AsJd or KsJc or even something a bit worse like pocket 10s. If your opponent has suited cards, lets say 1/2 the time because...

I really don't put the button on a set. Why not smooth call the pre-flop raisers bet, and hope the raiser hits with his overcard.
I'd say most likely is pair with a straight draw, or small over...

Re: small PP on the bubble
Good advice all. I am not comfortable with 500-600 raise, since I almost always raise 3xBB unless there are a lot of limpers. So I'll just check in the future and bet the pot on the flop.
I may...

Re: oh-no, I have to play post-flop?!?
Good thread.
While I certainly understand pushing here, I like raising better. You'll get called by a lot of hands far worse than AJ and most of the time win ~200 chips instead 75.
When the Ace...

Re: small PP on the bubble
Ok fair enough. Follow up question. if I had bet 300, and assuming the button didn't reraise.
On the flop with top pair, and 3 hearts would you have made a pot size bet, pushed, or checked.?

Re: BB Special - No one raises this river right?
Why not raise to 80 or 100? No flushes 35 and 56 the only straights. Very unlikely there is a set.
Who will call you? a pair of aces, K8, A8 and possibly and pair of 7 and the SB on what ever he...

Re: stealing on the bubble
Nokona
In general, hands with one over card and one under will beat 2 smaller cards between 55 and 60% of the time, being suited adds 3%.
So my A5 is pretty good against KJ etc. Where it sucks is...

Re: stealing on the bubble
Thanks gramps.
What would be the range of hands that you would try to steal with?.
My thinking would be AXs or A9+, any two broadway cards. Is that too loose?
