Re: Open raising

I usualy deside this based on my hand. For instance if I have KQo I would like to win if I spike a pair, so I raise to try and drop out weak A's. But if I am in mid pos and I have say T9s I want...

Re: 20% Deposit Bonus on Stars

to meet the requierments at the .25/.50 the pot hasta be raked twice, so has to hit 10$. Real slow at that lvl, but not unbareable at the .50/1 as 10$ pots arn't all that uncommen. I'v never played...

Re: Micro Limit Math Thread

That would be true if you were all in. But since your not I would look at each street seperately when I bet. People folding, raising etc may change befor I get to the river, so each street is its...

Re: Micro Limit Math Thread

omg, don't belive I made that mistake. tor is obviously correct. its the odds of hitting the hand and not pot odds, which just happen to be about 4:1, same as said pot odds.

Re: Micro Limit Math Thread

for just the pot odds that bet would be =ev, in other words if you gained no other benifit from it, free card...folding out stronger hands...disguizing your draw...meta game considerations, you would...

Re: Micro Limit Math Thread

I would raise it. You have almost a 50% chance of winning, tho sb could theoreticly be on a set and have a chance of making full, and there is a chance your A could be clean and win the hand for...

Re: Leaks or Variance? How can new players tell?

I agree with Triple. PT is the best thing you can do for your game. Even if you halfto swich sites or import the hand historys manualy, a few K of them should atleast give you some idea. (ie your...

Re: QQ huge pot

Looks like to me your definatly loseing this hand...but for that size of pot with an over pair I probably couldn't let this one go. I'm guessing we have trip J's and a pair of A's on the river,...

Re: How Not to Play Hold\'em

I don't understand why fold in this spot? you have TPGK, raised pf to give it up when shown just a hint of agro. I would have definatly 3 bet this.

Re: AK and pot odds...

I don't like the CC/CR river line. If someone is out there with Ax hoping to hit there strt or what not I want them to pay on the turn, while they still have hope.

Re: Unimproved AK vs sudden passivity

I agree he should bet it, but don't think he nessisaraly will. A bet on the river might be +ev, but I don't think it is hugely so.

Re: Unimproved AK vs sudden passivity

true, but a moderatly passive post flop player with tt/99 could play the same way...sure the pf cap is kinda gimp, but it wouldn't shock me either. An AQ shooting a CR or chickening out might do the...

Re: A confusing hand with multiple agressors.

You may be right, my thinking at the time was getting out an Ax hand. But the chance of him having an Ax, much less an A hitting is prity slim. I tend to get alittle too protective with my KQ hands...

yea, i wish i didn't halfta leave. My gf giving me greaf tho. *mutter* Anyway, I didn't check raise unfortunatly. The quick change in my "briliant" plan realy freaked me out for some reason and I...

Re: TP/flush draw: did I play it right?

I like it until the river. Raising to protect your hand and with an almost 50% chance to hit the second nut flush by the river seems sound to me.

Turn I wouldn't take the free card. You might...

A confusing hand with multiple agressors.

MP1 is very laggy...62/25/4.80 over a mear 25 hands or so. Mp3 is loose and fairly passive, with an AF of .79, tho thats only over 30 hands.

PokerStars 0.25/0.50 Hold'em (9 handed) converter...

Re: peeking behind the veil (LC)

Another thing that was sugested to me when I started was to buy some poker software such as TTH. The computer opponents arn't super, but there not too bad either. On top of that you get some prity...

Re: Drawing when LP table wakes up

I probably would have bet out on the flop, for value since you have nut flush draw. You could definatly be ahead hear, and if someone stayed with Ax your still not in bad position to take it on the...

Re: To aggressive with an overpair?

I think this is played perfectly. If he has KK/AA so be it. If he raised with TT, ouch. But there are a ton of hands your ahead of hear. AK, AQ, AJ, AT, JJ, 99. He could raise the flop with any...

Re: pocket kings-played poorly?

I like the line, if I had AQ I would pry re-raise the flop and see if AK bets out on the turn or caps it. So i think your biggest wory is AJ, Axs since they were boath in the blinds. I would...

Re: Slowing down?

I like the way you played it. I would pry pay off the raise on the river, but I play at .25/.50 and see alot of donk bets so might be alittle loose with my calling down.
