Flop trips weak kicker in SB 4 way pot

10+1 rebuy on pokerroom.. nearing first break, this hand comes up. How would you have played it?

Seat 1: MagicSpartan ($1,905 in chips)
Seat 2: Chumba13 ($3,900 in chips)
Seat 3: Shep51...

Re: Pushing trash 5-handed, level 6 - but there\'s one player DC

Right.. I agree and like I said, I dont disagree that BB folds here the majority of the time. Or that its a terrible play.. but I think my post outlined a good alternative.

Re: Pushing trash 5-handed, level 6 - but there\'s one player DC

My point is not about BB tightness. Point is I think hero has too many things going his way to risk an all in here. I dont think EV is enough to outweigh my previously mentioned factors..

Re: Pushing trash 5-handed, level 6 - but there\'s one player DC

The disconnect has a very substantial effect. If hes gone for just one more hand, every thing I pointed out still breaks down.

Re: Pushing trash 5-handed, level 6 - but there\'s one player DC

I'll do this by deciphiring the arguement behind pushing. The idea is that its +EV and is necessary to mantain and not become in danger of bubbling out. Well, if he folds, hes sitting on 2k on the...

Re: Pushing trash 5-handed, level 6 - but there\'s one player DC

I think you defenitely have assume he has lower standards, if you have no read. Just cause its 10+1

note - i dont ever play party poker. I am not accustomed to structures where you are forced to...

Re: scubascuba (JJ) BB, 1st hand....

Think you played fine.. though I would raise PF. Btw, I like the river check. Hes played the hand strange to say the least, and you dont wanna risk being Cr'd on this river- the bet seems to lack...

Re: $55: A2 on A669 board and checked to me after my pot raise on flop

I mean if you check turn, and he missed his hand, or never had one for that matter, he might stab at river. Its a likely spot. Im not suggesting you ALWAYS call down here, but if you think you spot...

Re: Correct Play or on Tilt?

I like everything except id limp with 99, and fold to the push. He could even have a set, afraid of draws. Maybe 10 10/ draw + overs. I like a reraise with queens not just all in. Everything else...

Re: $55: A2 on A669 board and checked to me after my pot raise on flop

Check turn, your not getting any real value out of a bet. Clearly, you are either beat by a better ace or he is folding turn. See how he reacts on river. If its not a club, see if you can pick off...

Re: Bubble Play

Pushing is horrendous. Id make it 2.5 BB to leave yourself a chance to fold. You dont want to have to call this all in. But now, you do. At most tables, 2.5 is enough to weed out any potential...

Re: Two early situations

For situation #1 -though the level of SnG matters a lot in my decision, ill take it step by step. His cold call on button can represent any PP from 22-QQ. I think logically, he didnt play this hand...

Re: Bubble, AQ faces raise in BB

Push. Id put button on AJ A 10 etc .. you dont have enough chips , this could very well be your best spot. I think its instapush 100% of time. Dont worry, this is defenitely not a crappy bubble...

Re: $109 Bubble: 99 in BB --- what\'s my line?

Nice post Das.. I see this as a conflict in perspective, as I do respect your proposed play. I think either play is acceptable with appropriate reasoning. I almost exclusively make this play...

Re: $109 Bubble: 99 in BB --- what\'s my line?

Lol, I play them often. Where do you see the flaw in my logic? I admitted to it being a weak fold, but I think given the circumstances its fine BECAUSE I THINK I AM BETTER and can find a better spot.

Re: $109 Bubble: 99 in BB --- what\'s my line?

I also adressed this in my post- he doesnt seem to be folding hands to all ins with KJ AJ K 10 A 10 ETC.. Ive been in so many SnG's where this type of player calls off his whole tourny with these...

Re: $109 Bubble: 99 in BB --- what\'s my line?

The blinds arent high. thats the point. He has nice control over the table, and that is absolutely relinquished if he calls and loses.

Like I said, I realize this play is +EV, but there are other...

Re: $109 Bubble: 99 in BB --- what\'s my line?

My reasoning is based on your control.. in most cases your a coinflip. Don't let partypoker determine your tournamnet with a coinflip- fold, keep it in your hands, and exploit your edges with a very...

Re: $109 Bubble: 99 in BB --- what\'s my line?

In my mind there is only one question here- will he call a push? you never wanna see a flop here.. its fold or push. Have you picked up on his betting pattern? an overpair seems unlikely, except...

Re: Party $50 +$5 Question

Id fold.. 3x BB UTG from a TAG is at best 99. Otherwise, its EASILY JJ QQ KK AK AQ AJ .. you can simply pick a better spot, especialyl considering you mentioned the table has been easy to steal...

There is a lot of similar posts on this topic- especially the one by raptor. However there is some differences in my situation, as I believe it is, in many ways, more severe.

Let me start off by...

Re: Can someone expand on this? Is my friend correct?

Agreed.. I like triple blinds depending on stack/considerin blinds etc. Make a standard raise when stealing, or in LP with a real hand.

Re: wsop double shootout hand

Hes made a nice bet here. I don't think theres anyway you can call- hes played the hand as if drawing the entire way. I mean, he could have any range of hands, but he'd have to be a pretty...
