Re: Having position: could it be mutually beneficial to swap places?

Hi roundtree
I do agree that the placing of you and the rock do have a large affect on the entire table.

I am not a stud player by any means so this might be the issues as to why I cannot see...

Re: Stratgey to get the most out of the calling stations

I realize that this stragey will win money in the end but I was looking for some ideas on how to maximize the wins against these players. I was trying to broden my starting hands a little and raise...

Stratgey to get the most out of the calling stations

6 Max table with two calling stations. First calling station is directly to your left. The second 3 from your left.
What stratgey do you use to get the most out of this? Do you see alot of flops...

Re: Having position: could it be mutually beneficial to swap places?

I believe your point was already presupposed by RoundTower. I was giving an example of how it can be -EV. I also dont see how a good(TAG) player sitting to your left is ever going to be +EV when you...

Re: Having position: could it be mutually beneficial to swap places?

No it is not more profitable for both of you. If he sits to your left, and is a good player, he will be isolating you the rest of the night. When he is on your left he can play a larger range of...

Re: .5/1 AK mega draw

No pot odds to call the turn bet. I would lead out for another 4$ on the turn and fold to a significant raise. Biggest mistake was no preflop raise. You need the money in the pot to make this draw...

Re: I Just Cold Called With JJ Preflop

preflop= your giving up your edge for a favourable flop but by not raising all the fish are staying in and increasing the pot odds.
Flop= you get your good flop, no bet out? besides that you get...

Re: AJ 3/6

Looks like a donk bet to me....unless he is raising A5 preflop. I think I call down unless BB shows agression after this.

Re: A line taken from SSH

Fold on the flop. No way you are ahead right now and very little chance to improve to best hand.

AK played bad once again

2-4 limit, 6max

Hero has AKo in cutoff. Everybody has limped in front of me I choose just to call because I am not getting anyone to fold and this table was chasing everything, so I wanted to not...

Re: Sexy, by PokerBob\'s definition

It seems as if the villian is on a draw so there is no way he calls a river bet. But when Hero checks the river it makes it look like he missed his draw or at least shows weakness. This may induce...

SSH study group?

I noticed that under the poker theory thread they have a TOP study group. I was wondering if anybody is interested in doing something similar with Small Stakes Hold'em?

Re: OESD on paired board, call 2 cold?

I fold the flop. This pot is not going to give you the correct odds for a draw. (i am not counting the over cards as outs due to the fact I am putting one of these guys on trips)

Re: Controlling the bankroll

I got alot of interest (for instances watching my leafs beat up on your red wings). But I think buying in for 40bb online is really high. I like to play a tighter game especially online where the...

Re: Controlling the bankroll

I have way over 300bb in my roll. The reason I keep only 40 in my online account is to keep my actions straight. The rest I cash out is still set aside in my poker roll. I dont think there is...

Re: Sexy?

I probably would have called the flop raise and wait for the turn to check raise. And lead out the river, I cant see him betting into you when you check the river.

Re: Common Situation: AKo overcard play

I could be way off but I am betting the flop, because like preflop I think I am ahead. I am paying really close attention to any callers. If I am check raised I think I call, fold turn unimproved.
