Re: A more retarded hand of PLO8 you wont see in a long time.

Undoubtedly, the biggest mistake was the limp in MP with AA23; that basically changed the entire hand. If he pots it, A365 may make a weak call or fold on the button, K653 probably folds and you may...

Re: $100 PLO8 hand, no content

You flop play was kind of weak (calling with top pr and 2nd nut low) and turn and river brought the 2 best cards you could have asked for. Seems to be a marginal play unless you have some read/info...

Re: AAAA is a good hand in PLO8

I've played this before (see my avatar) and won but its only a great bluffing hand (pot PF and flop). If someone calls your flop pot bet, your probably in trouble. Your best hope is that the board...

Re: PLO8 - First time ever and couldn\'t even show it

I have seen the light. Now I just need to get those cards again, maybe tonight if I'm lucky. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

3) You then posted about how you got unlucky.

It could be interpreted this way but it wasn't my goal. I was happy just to get the hand. Would have been nice if I...

Re: PLO8 - First time ever and couldn\'t even show it

[ QUOTE ]
There's no reasonable option other than raising the flop. I think you folded the best hand on the turn most of the time. If you had bet the flop and got raised, it's a little trickier...

Re: PLO8 - First time ever and couldn\'t even show it

[ QUOTE ]
I was wondering when someone would say this. If you are mentally playing for an audience, you are not playing optimally.

No I wasn't playing for an audience but it was...

Re: PLO8 - First time ever and couldn\'t even show it

[ QUOTE ]
I would've raised the flop, and I would've called the turn bet.

[/ QUOTE ]

So you would have RE-raised the flop, correct?

My thoughts, I potted preflop and then he pots into me...

PLO8 - First time ever and couldn\'t even show it

First time in 16,000 hands and I couldn't even play it to SD. This was the first hand I was dealt at the table and I had no read or PT data on the bettor. /images/graemlins/frown.gif

I potted...

Re: What adjustments to make going from Pot-limit to Fixed-limit O8?

You can be a little bit freer with the nut low as getting quartered isn't as painful in PLO8.

Obviously, bluffing is much harder in LO8 and PLO8 (which is hard anyways).

I would definitely...

Re: Hand probabilities.

[ QUOTE ]
Suppose I have Ad2d3hKh in a 10-handed game.
Somewhere I have seen a stat that says that there is a 36% chance that someone was dealt the nut heart draw.
However, I am not so sure this...

Re: Ruling in tourney

True, but as in anything in poker it depends on the situation, your opponent and your opponent's perception of you.

Re: 2, 3 for low - consensus

[ QUOTE ]
I'll play 23xx if I have 223x or 233x where X is either a suited K/Q or another wheel card (2345). With a relatively naked 23, not worth the effort.

[/ QUOTE ]

Didn't note it but...

Re: Really cant understand

Assuming A267.

For a low, A2 is fine and the 67 offers very limited protection if you get counterfeited on the river but probably not earlier.

For a high, this is where you hand hurts. If the...

Re: Plastic Cards

Haven't really done anything with them yet but I'm not a big fan of the card faces for the 2-10. They have a yellow/tan background for all the center pips. This wasn't really obvious on the website...

Re: Plastic Cards

Poker/wide size are 3.5" x 2.5"
Bridge size are 3.5" x 2.25"

Most plastic cards come in poker and bridge sizes.

Some plastic cards (copags IMHO) are quite flimsier than paper cards which could...

That flop is a disaster for you, I'd be leaning towards a check-fold barring any specific reads; you only stand a chance at half the pot (very slim chance at 3/4, full) if an improbable...

PLO8 - Just looking for some feedback.

Started playing at UB again the other day (bonus jumping) and ran into an interesting example of how not to play quads. The villian (foos1) appears to be a fairly loose, passive (85% VP$IP, 0 PFR...
