Re: HELP!! My Stats; What should I do to get better??

[ QUOTE ]

EDITED to say, also focus on table selection! Find tables with a lot of loose players. At these tables blind stealing defense is lowered in importance as those situations don't come up...

Re: [censored][censored] Blind Steal

I was talking about the two 7s. The two Ks I'm assuming are good. The two 7s may not be because somebody could have JJ or 88. If I knew the 7s were clean I'd be tempted to call the two bets.

Re: [censored][censored] Blind Steal

I think I'd have raised the flop.

As for the turn, you've got 8 to 1 odds. You only need 10.5 to 1 to draw to a full house. Anybody think that his 7 outs are good and he can make up the 2.5 bets...

Re: Your opinions on another Top 2 Pair hand please ?

I'm not good with this hand preflop. But on the flop the immediate raise is correct because the pot is big. If there were fewer players and a significantly smaller pot you could make an argument...

Re: Moving Up Is Hard To Do

[ QUOTE ]
ok, some of these posts are kind of bothering me, so I'm going to throw in my 2 cents. I am going to be kind of a nit to all of the people talking about winrates, because in all honesty...

Hi,

I have started learning hold'em just a few months ago - mainly based on the book "Small Stakes Hold'em" by Miller, etc. After playing with play money for a while I now play for...

Re: AA - How to Protect My Hand

He's getting 5.5 to 1 odds to draw on the turn (pot size was calculated wrong) so if hero bets he could be protecting his hand against a lot of different potential drawing hands (any four or five...

Re: x post from SS, annoying turn situation

I'd definitely call down against an unknown at my current limits. I'm inclined to believe that at 5/10 this is a T more often than it is in micro-limit. Without much 5/10 experience I'd probably...

Re: Playing AK from Early Position

Actually, if I'm UTG with AKo and raise I want as many calls as I can get (don't want to play it heads up). Any hand much better than me is going to three bet. Cold Calls = $$$

[ QUOTE ]
Also, from experience, this is a fairly rare occurence that you shouldn't really concern yourself about. I call and end up paying off every now and then, but that's perfectly fine.

Raise the turn!!!!!!!!!

Think the chance u´re ahead is way too big to fold. But raising is much better than calling down. Heres why:

If u are behind a couple of things might happen:...

So the line is to raise the turn and then call the rest of the way no matter what?

What makes you think you're behind?

The guy plays 3/4 of all his hands. He may not be smart enough to checkraise with a set, so that's still in the mix, as is any 3, 6/5, A/5 and...

Re: KQs.......standard?

Flop is weak sauce. I would've check-raised. I woulc've check-called the river. Given how you played it, maybe I would've called the river raise. It depends on how different 1/2 is from .50/1...

Re: K/9o in CO, dead SB — steal?

My gut instinct is that the gain for not having the SB to worry about exceeds the .5 SB extra in the pot. I could very well be wrong though...

IMO it is very bad to not bet the flop here as well as the river. Defend your hand, bet out.
