Re: Protecting my hand with AK- is it possible?

I recommend that you cease thinking about AK on a Kxx board as a hand that requires "protection". Rather you should focus on how to maximize your profit with your made hand. To this end, I would...

Re: AJo misses the flop

I think you should take a shot at this turn. You have position and the likely best hand. Additionally, you want to situate yourself to check down the river unimproved. The line you took seems to...

Re: Flopped nuts - How should I play turn and river?

NEVER EVER FOLD THIS TURN! The aggressor has a far greater chance of holding trip J's or an overpair than a full house. In fact, I would probably raise here.

Re: Greetings. Bet or Check or...?

Welcome to the forums sporky.

I consider a bet on the turn an absolute must in this situation. You simply give up too much here by checking a pair and flush draw against loose opponents.

Re: My foray into $2/4 (long, low content)

Best of luck in the 2-4 game. Does anyone else think his showdown winning percentage is unsustainably high?

Re: Too aggressive on early streets? 2 hands for review.

would you raise a favorable turn in hand 1 if you smooth called? If not, I would reraise the flop as you did.

Re: QQ against a fish.

Yuck. I cannot imagine a truly passive player leading into you on the river with a hand you can beat in this situation.

The fold is easy as kiss of your hand

Re: Should I be wearing a skirt?

I do not see how you can put him on a middle pair. Not only did he raise from EP preflop but also led into me on the flop and the turn. Until someone convinces me to the contrary, I do not think...

Should I be wearing a skirt?

I recently arrived at this table and have no information on either of my opponents. Did my cowardice show toO much in this hand?

Re: 2 virtually identical hands at ps: weird, please analyze

You should probably raise with QJs preflop in this situation. You may buy the button, a free card post-flop, etc.

Re: too much too far?

I think the "typical" 3-6 player would react to the hand in this manner.

Automatic bet on the flop after the steal raise.

Usually call the raise with an overcard or any draw.

Fold the...

I have difficulty with these types of hands. Did I push this one too far? I certainly believe the river bet is suspect.

Re: Hero flops a full house.

you would really fold to a turn 3 bet in hand two, entity? Given the pot size, I would pretty much call every time.

I think the correct play depends upon your read of your opponent. Against a player who readily calls down with any piece of the board a river bet becomes obviously appropriate. Against a tight...

Re: 3/6 Decisions. Show some love.

On hand four, you definately should raise the flop if you decide to continue on in the hand. A raise should help clean up your overcard outs.

Re: Sklansky\'s suited group 3 and 4 hands

In a tough game, you should open raise in EP with 10JS and the like occasionally. HEFAP explains the logic behind this play.
