For those of you who care Phil did have the top set so I was in big trouble. However I was able to put a badbeat on him by runner runner for the nut flush.

Is this too agressive with middle set.My read on the villian was loose agressive who was very aggresive postflop (52/17 with a post flop agression of 4)

The more you raise aren't narrowing the hand range who will call - and possibly leaving only hands you are even or...

If I get reraised on the flop I can lay it down without a second thought. In this hand it would have saved me chips.
I didn't look at it as a made hand on the flop but if I had a set I might have...

Do you really only want to pick up the blinds in level 1? If you raise 5x the bb you will get less or no callers.
In this hand if I am called preflop and call his flop bet don't we get to the...

I don't change much what I play in a short game. The only hands I add are some of the high pair hands that I don't play full.
The real question is which hands are you going to play in a raised pot...

The best way to describe the 5/10 short game is action. Lots of raising and calling. If you can handle the swings it can be a fun game.

I realize the sample size is nothing but in my limited experiment it seems to me that at the 30's most O8 players have no idea what good tournment play is on the bubble or when the game gets short....

I come from a short table holdem and O8 background but after reading this forum for the last couple of monthes decided to try my hand at sng's. I was at 5/10 and have the bankroll to play at the 50's...
