Re: 2 Hands to Think about

Theres no way I'm folding in hand number 2. We are getting about 2.25 to 1 on our money and the only hand that crushes us here is AA. Against a set we're 2 to 1, against two pair we're 3 to 2, and...

Re: $10 20man Party Poker - AK

Hi

Given your read this is a bad fold. If you think you are even money to win then why fold getting almost two to one. I call.

Re: Jack Handy

The best one ever was when he was taking his nephew to Disneyland but went to a burnt down lot. Then he was going to take him to the real Disneyland, But it was closed.

Thats good stuff

Re: top pair in huge pot

I agree that when it comes back to you here you are getting good odds to call, but there are so many hands here that are dominating us that I tend to fold also.

The play after that is kind of...

Re: fold KAs Post Flop

I think what my point is what does a bet here accomplish? We're betting into 3 people with ace high and no draw. Getting raised here sucks. That would suggest that we are already beaten and...

[ QUOTE ]
why are you checking the turn just because a Q came out? you need to bet. call a rerasie if one comes, even though i doubt it would happen.

[/ QUOTE ]

Why would you do that?

Re: Why the [censor] can\'t I win a single dime on Party/Empire

I think Jaran hit the nail on the head. You are probably folding too many marginal hands on the river. You can call much more loosely when the pots are big or heads up. By the way which limits are...

Re: Why the [censor] can\'t I win a single dime on Party/Empire

No offense junkie, but posts like this don't have too much value. Everyone gets beat by crappy hands and miracle draws all the time. I suggest you post a hand or two and ask for better ways to...

Re: K9s question.

I think you kind of answered your own question in the original post. We all know that poker is situational, and we have to learn to adjust and play accordingly.

On the technical side I'd say K9s...

Re: Blind defense?

Everyone here has different hands they play for blind defense. Perhaps you should post a hand where you folded and maybe should have defended, or vice versa.

The specific advice you recieve will...

Re: a hand

I agree w folding preflop. AJ just isn't strong enough to three bet with, unless perhaps against an open raise, but even then I personally still fold.

As is I'm not sure the flop bet will...

Re: cheap PP tourneys

I really like these tournaments for a few reasons:
They're cheap, they're fun, good practice and getting your aces cracked doesn't hurt so bad /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Re: A bonafide loser at .5/1 but a winner at .25/.50 - post your thoug

Mabye you are not ready to make the jump up limits yet. Theres nothing wrong with that, just keep working on your game and you will eventually move up.

And yes the sample size for .5/1 is way too...

Re: 1st post (nano-limit)

This is a hand you typically would call from the cutoff or button w a few limpers in front. In this hand there is only one so I think it's a fold.

Re: 1st post (nano-limit)

This is my first post too! That said QTo isn't a very good hand to limp with in mid posistion. Flop and turn look fine to me, but you have to call this river.
