Re: 3-bet the river 15/30 Party?

He cold calls on the 2 SB on the flop and 1BB on the turn.
I would put him on QJ of spades, 45 of spades, A3 of spades, as far as reasonable hands go. Could he have waited to speak until now with...

Re: i played bad

Of course you have odds to draw to the flush on the turn. He is betting less the 1/2 the pot. When you make your flush I wouldn't push on a paired board. Calling is even questionable with the bet the...

Re: Dan Harrington\'s hat

I think everyone in this forum thinks that hat is foolish. And I think thats exactly how Dan would like to come off. Looking like a foolish old man. Maybe I am giving him too much credit. But I think...

Re: Tricky call with Ace high...stupid?

First hand when he leads out on the river its clearly for value. Even from a week player. I would suspect two pair. Possibly even as simple as A8. He hit his weak kicker, now he bets. I suspect you...

Re: Am I a fish or what?

Preflop - I would just call to conceal the strength and also let me get away cheap - or I would raise a bit more. 10 dollars - make him pay a little more to see the flop because you are likely ahead...

Re: 2-4 QQ hand...

Thanks for the feedback guys...
The more I think about the flop raise the more I think how it was silly. I thought maybe I could move him off of something, but clearly nothing is folding there I am...

Re: Live 5/10 Hand - Interesting Decision With a Big Draw

I would call on the flop, without a doubt...
The maximum possible # of outs you have is 22...
This is assuming a 10 a 5 a heart a 6 or 7 gives you the best hand. I think this is reaching pretty big...

Re: QQ and an Ace Flops

Reraise preflop! You have to - look at how many people saw this flop...
Then the ace comes, you can gaurantee someone caught the ace. There is 4 people in the pot. FOLD the flop without question. ...

Re: Party $50NL - KK Laydown?

Um this is the PP 50NL...
There is a decent chance he has a jack of course with a minreraise. But I wouldn't put him on only 4 hands. He could have 77/99/TT/JJ/QQ/KK/AA/AK/AJ/KJs/QJs/10Js.......

Re: 5/10 Random Thoughts on this Week

I think shorthanded play can be very profitable. I have experienced very good results in short handed games online a live as well. People playing short handed find themselves in alot more murky...

Re: rules question

If you are in a standard card room I don't see a problem asking the floor if he refuses to tell you. Any decent NL person would understand the importance of stack size...

Re: 5/10 destroyed me

Tithead,

I have read some of your previous posts which are generally very naive about poker to say the least. If you have been playing great hands and pot odds to perfection then you are running...

Re: AQ is the devil

You didnt say whether your A or Q is a diamond for one.
If you want to limp with AQ fine - but don't call a raise out of position. A normal raise here you would expect AQ,AK,or a pocket pair. All...

Re: 5/10 hand with GoG

I think you played it pretty well. These little blind battles can get really tricky. I think he could be on 77 or 88 or 99 here some of the time. I also think AQ,AK are possibilities here. In the SB...

Re: Tough beats and trying to deal with them.

No offense, You didn't really do alot wrong. You should just feel less attatched to your money. On the hand where you had AK he had QT? and he called a preflop bet with it out of position and led out...

Re: failed bluff attempt

For bluffs on the river in these kinds of situations, I like betting about the pot instead. Moving all in is a little suspect like you missed a draw and you are trying to win the pot the only way you...

Re: $3-$2-$2 Live NL Hand.

Why min reraise on the flop? You have top pair with a nice draw. What if a king comes and he has an ace? I would protect your hand with a solid flop raise. He is only betting 10 dollars into a 40...

Re: AQo UTG+1

Lead out as this flop 90% of the time. No one is in the hand from the blinds. I wouldn't fear anything. You were the pre flop raiser. You will find out if you are behind, and more often you will take...

Re: 5/5 Crown ... Steal hand

I think the checkraise is a nice play. Like most people I will make a steal from the CO occasionally as well - but not with J6o. J6o has little potential to bust someone if they catch a hand as well....

I would laydown..
