Re: 55 on the button- 10-20 6 max.

What about raising on the flop instead of calling? Does anyone think that is a good play? I think cold calling 2 preflop is good.

Re: Poker In Panama (Brief report)

Thanks for posting this. I'm off to Panama in early April. Are there any other casinos I should check out for poker?

Re: Opinions wanted on Absolute Poker...

I'd also recommend the 6 max 1/2 games. I was playing their 9 player tables, but the bonus was taking too long to clear and there aren't many tables going. The 6 max tables have some pretty soft...

Re: 7Stud/8 gaining popularity?

I should point out that 6 months ago, I couldn't find anyone interested in a stud 8 home game. Last week I found 3 people who are interested. Maybe in another year we'll have enough people to get...

Re: 7Stud/8 gaining popularity?

From guys I know around these parts that play HE online there is definite a growing interest in Stud and Stud 8, although most of them still haven't played much or have just dabbled in a few LL...

Re: games other than holdem in canada

From what I gather your best bet is to try Senecca (on the US side of Niagara Falls), at least if you are looking for Stud. Other than that there isn't much anywhere near Toronto that I am aware of....

Re: Gaming Club Account Locked?

Yeah, I had problems with my account being locked once and got it resolved. I emailed them, but didn't hear back so I called them. They told me they had emailed me about the problem, but in any...

Re: Gaming Club Bonus Time..

Does anyone know if that includes people who signed up previously and were working off the bonus? I've been working off a bonus there for the last couple of weeks, and I noticed that they haven't...

Re: 1/2 stud/8 hand

I really must be slow... I thought that one was serious, and I didn't get it even when it was pointed out to me.

Re: 1/2 stud/8 hand

No, I meant re: the post before you... I didn't think you were serious, even without the funnie smily things.

Re: 1/2 stud/8 hand

You can only use that EV though if you know what the hole cards are. What if the player with Tens had a 9 rather than 5? Or a Q or better instead of the 5? Or worse still (for you) if he started...

Re: B&M or online?

Thanks, guys. I was worried I wasn't bringing enough to the virtual table, but it sounds like I'm ok with the 25 BB's I normally buy in with. I really appreciate your posts and responses to my...

Proper buy-in for Stud 8 game? Reasonable goals in BB/hr?

Sorry if this has been covered, but I searched but couldn't find an answer to these questions. Maybe I'm missing a key word or something.

In HE people often recommend 20-30X Big Bet as a buy in. ...

Re: A dying game?

I can see a spin off of bored/unsuccessful/break even Hold'em players trying out different games these days. I'm not sure that they will continue playing them in the longer run though. I know...
