TPTK on the flop against...

Great Play That Worked-Out Perfect (funny too)

I played in a few of the Fall Festival Tourneys at the Golden Nugget. They are pretty good, around 30 entrants, $100 buy-in with an add-on and rebuy. In three tries I pulled 2- 5th place finishes...

Did I Overplay This Hand?

This was a hand I had last night in a MTT home game.

Just consolidated to final table, 9 players left. Top 3 pay out.

Blinds 10/20

Chip counts as best I can remember

UTG: 375
UTG+1: 125

Re: When Are You Changing Gears?

So at what stages are you changing? What is your playing style/mode when you do?

Thanks. /images/graemlins/spade.gif

Re: Official Stars 45k 10+1 Rebuy -- LL?

I haven't seen a hand in ages, all I have been taking down is stone cold bluffs.

Could get anything going early either. Coasting here, need some cards to come my way! /images/graemlins/spade.gif

Re: AJo in a live tourny

Funny, similar case occurred in a home game tourney style last night.

I picked up AJo UTG and considered raising it, and then I remembered my advice and figured I would be a hypocrite if I did...

Re: AJo in a live tourny

If the table had folded around to me and I made the raise with the AJo (which I would in this case), I would imagine to the BB would have played his Q's different.

I imagine the BB would picture...

I think you have him beat here barring the Q's.

Re: Sam Farha\'s style to MTTs

This is a good post, I like the question.

Personally I open up my standards for entering un-raised/mini-raised pots early. I also get a little more loose on my position, but never do it in the...

Re: AJo in a live tourny

The hand he is representing would be an overpair.

Unless he is a very conservative player I imagine that he would be pushing PF with QQ-AA. Now on the other hand he could be playing it...

Re: 2bb final table limping Aj ep

I am having a hard time even thinking about the "limp option".

The only time I would limp with 2BB is if I picked up pocket aces and wanted to make sure I got all the action possible.

Bottom...

Re: All-in After Check-Check When Blank Hits....Make the Call With 2-Pair?

Yes, I do regret it now, and as soon as he moved it.

I was short-stacked and felt that this flop was worthy of the risk to try and accumulate some chips. With some chips in the pot I was thinking...

Can't give a free card on that flop, but call the turn.

Re: All-in After Check-Check When Blank Hits....Make the Call With 2-P

Yes, my intention was to induce a bluff from him. I was hoping he called me with a weaker ace.

I just wasn't expecting an all-in move.

He has played pretty loose up to this point, but usually...
