Re: Botched 6/12 hand

Wow, sorry you are right Einbert, didn't read the post carefully enough, yea, the pot was way too large at that point at 13:1 and then 8:1, hero played fine until the fold

Re: Botched 6/12 hand

If you were going to fold, you should have folded way before the river when you had to call with the 10:1 odds

The flop play seemed ok, calling is fine when you are not sure if he has the 5, why...

Re: strong donk bet or spewage?

i thought it was a little bit too aggressive to bet the turn unless you are absolutely sure she's on a flush draw, are you not at least a little worried about an overpair, 2 pairs, or trips? Tilt or...

Re: TP Scary Board Raise River?

I meant one of the other 3 people could have k-10 but is afraid of the flush, villain could have flush, a-j, the only way you could get him to fold is if he missed his draw

But I'm not worried...

Re: Should I ever get away from this?

if you are behind the likely range, u'd have 2 outs to call...don't think it's proper odds no matter what street you are on

In a shorthanded game it'd be alot different and one would definitely...

Re: Should I ever get away from this?

This would be alot different if I had position on the other player, I could have 3 bet the flop for a cheap showdown or find out more information if I had the button or something

But having to act...

Re: Should I ever get away from this?

I think the easiest thing to do is just to fold, there are too many things that could beat you, A-K, A-10, 10-10, or what ever that A-X card was, you are out of position, so it's gonna cost you on...

Re: Play along with me in this hand.

oops didnt see the river post, sorry, hmm, actually i might slowdown and just check call the river, if he missed his draw, he will fold to a bet; if he hit his ace, he would have raised and u would...

Re: TP Scary Board Raise River?

he's getting 15:1 odds to call your bluff, there's no way villain would fold. There's also 3 other people in the pot, someone will call you with a better ace or a low flush with 9:1 odds, hell, even...

Re: Thanks for the replies. My thoughts and the result oriented results...

why is this a bad fold? u r dominated by aces, kings, queens, and a-k, things that people likely play by capping preflop, so I thought it was a pretty good fold, yea the result was that you would...

Re: Overagressive or just right?

way too aggressive, capping the flop with nothing but a gut shot, why?

Semibluff means getting someone to fold with just a single raise (once it gets 3 bet your semibluff has failed) or getting a...

Re: weak with KK?

Haha you are right Nicky, dunno what I was thinking.

Putting myself in Hero's shoes, definitely would raise on the turn given that it's 3 handed. I was thinking more in terms of a loose 4-5 limper...

Re: weak with KK?

actually looking at it again I like what avisco01 wrote down, a-k and q-q is way more likely than j-10, and with the outs to a boat makes raising the turn very profitable...

I think it is also...

Re: weak with KK?

I thought you played it fine, with him capping the flop you gotta suspect j-10, sure he probably has a-k from the looks of things, but I think the checkcall on the turn is pretty standard

when the...

Re: 444 - smoothcall/reraise? Do you like it?

yes u fold 4-4 in EP regardless if someone limped in in front of you, what if u get raised behind? u have a 1/8 chance of hitting trips, putting in a BB beforehand just isnt worth it

Re: Frozen River?

why did you raise with q-k offsuit preflop? then semibluff on the flop when there was no chance u'd get 3 people to fold? Then the check-folding down is fine i guess...but preflop and on the flop...

Re: Using a timing tell

seems fine, didn't really need a timing tell to bet here though, did he have a-k too?

Re: Mistake on Every Street? 3/6 hand

why did u cap preflop? a-8 suited...flops a flush every 1/118 times...

he could have a-k, a-q, a-j outkicking you, or a big pair which leaves u with 3 outs

But hey, just my 2 cents, if you had...
