Re: Party Jackpot

I guess i got really lucky - my internet connection went down on about the xxxx90,000 hand and i only managed to open two tables prior to the 2,980,000,000 hand. But I played hands 2,979,999,985 and...

Re: Weak-Tight?

Why wouldn't it be better to lead the turn and fold to a raise? By checking the turn it looks like we have a missed AK and they are value betting their T9.

If we are folding the turn after...

Re: Hand from 1/2 NL Live

I am pretty sure I would have given up JJ on this flop. What are the chances that no-one has an A? If they have one and they called PF then they are calling again (except for the few nuts that call...

Re: Dear party, fix your RNG

Personally I don't give a flying f*ck if the RNGs are fixed since I have obviously adopted my style of play to take this into account and still win $.

Or is everyone on this board who claims to...

Re: Empire\'s road to hell

So basically this bonus is worth about 3.85 cents per hand. Or 5c per raked hand. Based on my 50NL stats the rake per hand is 6.9c. So this bonus doesn't even cover the rake, unless you are...

Take it now or build a pot?

Seems like I have run into a few tight tables lately and have been able to take lots of small pots (3-8BB) with semi-bluffs. It just makes me wonder if I should be looking to build bigger pots...

Re: Bot Window

Yip. Hopefully once they verify us they will leave us alone for a while.

I got 3 hands frozen out. And on one i had TP on the flop. The freezing must be a bug.

Re: This will turn out to be a good thing for us

Absolutely not.

I believe the issue is the combination of regular casino and poker. When someone loses to the regular casino all the money goes to Party - it doesn't circulate around the tables...

Re: AA runs into scary flop

Why would calling and then pushing a non-diamond turn be a bad idea?

This protects you from losing to Ad Qx or Ad Tx or str8 and flush draw combinations who may call the flop push.

Re: running bad streaks (theory, not a whine)

Or, is it that, contrary to some people's opinions, the variance is significantly less in live play because of the ability to read people. If the variance is less, the downswings are likely to be...

I called and they had a strangely played KQ so mhing

But at least the river call wan't as stupid as I had thought on reflection. I will also bet out on the flop next time - not sure why I didn't...

Who played this worse

Not sure if my slow play was the worst mistake here..I was planning a flop check raise.

MP kept saying they were a bad player in chat and they did draw out on me twice when I was betting a decent...

Re: Settle a debate

I do think so. This is very typical SSNL play by a short stack. They are obvously just there to gamble - they either make the $4, have the fun of sucking out and more than doubling up or they leave...

Re: Implied value and draws

Didn't you forget the:

0.037 * 58.5 loss when he gets outdrawn after hitting. This makes the expectation: 0.22?

AKo is costing me

Not sure if the 25NL are too micro for anyone to care about. Any advice on this hand would be good as AKo is one of my big losers. Mostly it appears to good luck on the opponent's part (flushes,...

Re: K3 on the bubble

My newbie thought is that there is no point pushing (no fold equity) but you have to call the 3 to 1 odds. It is not impossible (although it is admittedly unlikely) to imagine a fold to your 284 if...

Re: Finally broke my OTM streak - but how was this?

At a $11 buy in table, not a 215 table? Are you guys having me on? I am truly surprised. I would say that about 28 hands out of 80+ hands the normal $11 players will raise are not good for me: AA,...

Re: Bad Beat or unneccesary risk?

And on the flop he is nearly even money.

No doubt about the bad pf call though. I had someone at one of my tables tonight who said QTs was the winningest hand. Perhaps it was the same person.
