Re: PokerStars 25+2 Turbos versus PokerStars $55+5 Turbos

Maybe I am just running bad.

My good hands are few and far between. I've put that down partly due to the few number of players entering pots, and those pots often being stolen by a small raise.

PokerStars 25+2 Turbos versus PokerStars $55+5 Turbos

Hi,

Having been playing the 25+2 Turbos with some success over recent
months (and other games at similar levels on other sites) I have recently
tried moving up to the next highest game, which on...

AQ, small blind 10+1 - I played this wrong, didn\'t I

Hi,

No detailed reads as I'm new to the table. All the pots I saw had been stolen
uncontested. I've been trying to get more aggressive and get my chips in when
ahead, even if its close, rather...

How long does the game usually take?

I'm thinking about this, but it starts at midnight in the UK (yawn). How many enter, and how long will the tourny last
(roughly)?

How do you guys multitable

(or girls ...)

So, I've been playing the $11s on Prima (they have a mini-view and I have a cheap monitor). Just one table at a time.
Fun, but something of a grind. I've played for several months,...

Re: I\'m really really sorry (a confession)

Its an interesting thought.

I tried it once, but I couldn't see both tables properly at the same time, so I didn't do it again.

Some of the problem may be I'm tilting having come second...

Re: I\'m really really sorry (a confession)

I tend to play for a couple of hours (single tabling) each evening.

Sounds like good advice to me.

I\'m really really sorry (a confession)

So I've been reading this forum (great), reading various poker books and building up my skills.

Always at very low limits, but I have been consistently profitable over about 200SNG (ITM ~47, ROI...

How do you play with a big stack

I've been playing and reading this forum for some time, but I haven't seen any advice on what to do if you happen to take a large chip-lead early. Now I know this is not likely
to happen with the...

Re: Playing for Set Value

Well I agree with all that, but I can't figure out your working.

Small sample size produce pleasing results

Tournies: 37
ITM : 51%
ROI : 80%

Its a cheat I know because I won a couple of 2-table tournies and included them, and the sample size is so low as to be meaningless, but I'm still happy.

I'm...

Re: Where to play STT

Why should the early game strategy be different?

(my guess: larger stack sizes allows for slightly looser play)

Re: Should I move to Stars?

Where can someone find out the blind structures?
(without downloading the software, registering an a/c
depositing money and starting to play that is).

Re: spreadsheet question

The part of the spreadsheet the you complained about, does not alter its calculations according to the number of players at the table. Other parts do.

Re: spreadsheet question

Its because the spreadsheet assumes there are 10 people at the table, and stars play with 9. Consequently the calculation made assumes 1/2/3 prizes of 50/30/20 not 45/27/18.

The rest of the...
